Why is bodyblocking gone?? I mean before when you needed to storm a house you could not just go altogether, now it feels more arcade when I can go trough people.

TWI thought that ppl nowadays can't wait for anything. they must sprint like a champion, got a killcam etc
and: you don't have that stupid blocking any more. often I sweared due to ppl who just don't know how to run through a damn door in ROOST but I always thought that it is better to have block than running through a person, you know it made the game a bit more plastic. I think you can run through persons in MW2 too, right? ... the killcam, the recon plane, the fast movement, ...

I heard that collision may affect on game performance (means less fps...), but some sort of "soft collision" even more hard, than soft could mean, would be salutary.

I like being able to move unhindered. I will gladly take gameplay over realism here.

I'm assuming most of us play this game using a keyboard, mouse, and a monitor that only includes.. what? 70 degree viewing angle?

The point is: the game is NOT real life. I can't squeeze past a clunky MG model like I would be able to in real life. I can turn my body sideways and side shuffle. I can't place my feet exactly where I would want them to be... IE stepping over some proned ally in the middle of a door.

Not having collision avoids all of the "But I could get around IRL!" issues. Simplifies the game and allows people to get away from grenades. Body collision only brings frustration.

i questioned it at first...

after playing for ~15 hours i haven't even noticed except when 30 of your teammates spawn and sprint for the same doorway. imagine that with collision... "FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU".

if you stand inside a teammate, you'll just get killed by a single nade/bullet and won't be able to see anything because your teammate is blocking your vision. i really haven't seen anyone do it.

yeah with 60 ppl on a server you need to make the netcode as optimized as possible.

every time you 'bump' into someone it would potentially cause serious lagging effects and rubber banding.

partial collision (team fortress 2) is even more annoying, with teammates pushing you when you're trying to take a shot etc.

imho there's nothing wrong with no collision.

So you support unrealisticly bad and clunky movement, in RO1 it was so bad and slow, even i could do the actions faster, its fine no need to ***** about it.
