would be nice if the bodies of the fallen would stay around for longer, especially from a snipers perspective, as it would add an element of cover, as you tend to stick out like a sore thumb without the likes of burlap on your gun, and period ghillie suit.

Plus its just added realism :D

So here on one part of the forums we got people whining about poor optimization, while on other we have people asking for corpses to stick around for longer (it would increase the load for your system)

sigh

As far as I know bodies are client side, so even if they do stay around longer, bodies on your screen may be in a different position than bodies on another player's screen (in multiplayer). So, they really wouldn't do much for cover. For example, my gore is set to no dismemberment while you may have it on full gore, so your screen has body parts all over the place, while mine has just a pile of fully-intact bodies.

That said, I want bodies to stay around forever. I want them to pile up until my fps bottoms out. (I'm kidding about the fps part.)

This was possible through mutators in UE2.5 I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an .ini setting somewhere now.

But yes. This will murder your framerates.

My Pc can take it.

I want the option to do so.

It would be better experience in terms of immersion and atmosphere at the cost of handicap of you not being able to see the enemy thanks to that body that's been laying there for a good half an hour, while the enemy could see you just fine. This of course is considering that there is an option to turn it on/off as you've said.

I guess gameplay wise moments like the one i just described would be relatively rare, unless you are really prone to crawl around a lot.

It might could be made so bodies don't disappear if there's people close to it and can see it, that wouldn't slow down performance that much I don't think, and you wouldn't have bodies disappearing in front of you
