I just noticed that bodies don't respond to being hit after they're dead. I sprayed a guy with an MG and only like the first 3 bullets registered, then the rest just penetrate his body as if it isn't even there.

Personally, i think it'd add to the immersion if all of the bullets registered, even after the player is dead.

Not a big deal, just a thought that occurred to me while playing.

I'd prefer this too because I keep trying to mercy kill dieing soldiers so I don't have to watch them writhe around in agony. :(

It seems to be dependent on whether or not the ragdoll is still "active" or moving.

I've shot and hit bodies laying on the floor but only shortly after they've fallen. I even have it captured in a video, bullet wound and all.

lol, this. I agree, I hate having to listen to them moan as they lie on the ground slowly dying.

I support this idea. It just slightly tweaks my suspension of disbelief when corpses no longer get blood decals after being shot.

i can live without bullets registering, but when a grenade explodes on them - they don't move an inch.

this can often happen without being some kind of psychopathic freak that likes to shoot dead bodies :p

That's an awesome idea! Maybe even give you some team points for being a gentleman.

Although I agree completely, it adds a lot to immersion (especially the reaction to a nade).

However would this interfere with the current rating for Australia/Germany?
Thought corpse interaction was actually an important focus of the rating.

This is most likely because of optimization of the game. Is it worth 10-15 FPS, and a more laggy server just so you can shoot a corpse?

I don't get the 'It would make the server laggier bla bla bla" . If it is client side, there wouldn't be any problem, since is your own machine the one that needs to process those few more bullets.

It's like the 'make bodies last longer' option you got on games like counter strike, and that not affects the server at all but only you; so it would be up to the user decision.

Learn how games work. Bodies shouldn't react to bullets after death. If they did. The server would lag like bloody crazy or most likely crash. Alternatively, if programmed differently, you could be shot whilst hiding behind a body thinking your safe (which you wouldn't anyway).
