In short here is example:
Enemy on second floor of building is shooting on you near stairs. After that you survived attack you starting to shoot back. You hit him but he is only wounded. You run fast up to finish him but he changed position. So where is he? Suddenly you spotted fresh blood dots near hallway door to one of several rooms. Enemy is busted, you know where is he (selecting grenade ... ). ....
In conclusion:
1. If you wound someone you should see fresh blood dots on ground
2. You can use that blood clues to reveal where is your unfinished target after he runaway to another position.
3. We dont need to display blood dots too long, game coders should select how much time is enough to display them ...
