Same here. So i guess some german files are broken

Probably a part of the German UI interfering with some new stuff imho, i doub the language files itself are causing the problem.

I prefered the English Version anyway and was pushing it back to switch back to the English one, so i'll be good to go in about 1.5 hrs.

This might be a good warning for me, as I was tempted to make one of my copies use German voices.

If just updating (switching to another language) with Steam wouldn't suck so much... Did they ever hear of rsync or zsync ? Delta Diffs ?
Instead you are downloading complete files again.

New update is great, for me huge fps improvement.
Also, is it only me or weapon sounds of some weapons (mainly bolts) was changed ?
Now, let's get back to topic, unfortunately i also have problem with this blackscreen. It happens when my level of suppresion is the highest.
I tried with settings, on lowest and on highest is the same.
Also, tried to turn off blur in Roengine.ini didnt help.
Solutions, mentioned by devs didnt worked too.

No, i am using Polish language.

Hmm... so it looks like that at the moment:

- English is fine
- German, Polish, Russian are corrupt

Maybe some more users will post their language

I have also lots of those in my RO2 logs after the update today:

Error: Requested localized string setting 4 was not found

Don't know how this engine works but maybe something is broken concerning lookup of localized texture/resource names. Just guessing here, might be totally wrong.

Yea, i just asked my clanmates. Everyone who have english language ingame, have no black screen problem...

Problem solved, for some time of course. Change your steam language to english....
Note that, when you change language you will have to download about 2gig....

Same here.
But sadly it is nearly unplayable with the blackscreens.
With every update there is a new big bug and when that one gets fixed..there is a new.

Yeah, it works perfectly on the english version (had the polish one with bugs) but the sounds are horrible sadly.

Not only the black screens seem to be the bug but also for example signs on the buildings (the floors numbers and other textures too).

You can change the soundsamples by your own efforts in Ro2 gamefolder!
