This sounds like you have a corrupt effects package. I would suggest attempting to verify your cache.

If that doesn't work, try deleting all the files NOT located in deeper folders in the following 2 locations and verifying cache:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\ROGame\CookedPC

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\ROGame\CookedPC\Packages\Effects

In a german forum somebody wrote that changing the language of the game to english fixed it for him.

Can't test or verify it, only 3 MBit connection here, I have the german version as well (I don't want to download x gigabyte again, already wasted about 30 gigs for Ro2 ).

Already done that before, Yoshiro, because the game did not even start after the patch update without deleting the folder (it crashed immediately while starting).

Edit: I hope that somebody with a better connection can test if changing the game language to english does fix the problem for him.

Already tried that (since my ini is kinda modified for performance to get more FPS without sacrificing Eye Candy).

yeah after deleting and redownloading files no fix still bugged

it looks like this

and there are still some pixel on the edges (top and left edge) of the normal screen (hard to see on pic)

i think it has something to do with the fix of

- Fixed glowing outline/rainbow colors around the screen for certain machines
