Blackscreen?

Seems like after the latest graphical updates a lot of people are getting random blackscreens

They are not random. I get them whenever I am suppressed. (Arty, grenades, being shot at and when spotting the :IS2

yeah i had that too

i think its only supposed to appear when being killed but i got it while heaving artillery or suppression nearby

i think i fixed that by changing in ROEngine.ini Distortion=False

but it could be considered as some kind of "cheat" because you have no distortion by arty or suppression anymore

Not random for me but when i get killed, shot at or suppressed [under suppression the screen stays black for the time your suppressed]

Happens when Arti explodes near you, when you get wounded, etc.

It's not playable anymore. Constant blackscreens, and I mean really black, ruins it completely.
You can still see the cap zones when you hit T, etc. But that's it.

makes me wonder why its in havent we been testing that patch on the beta server didnt get those there

Its really unplayable no you spent more time in black then seeing the game

the remove of distortion unfortunately does not fix it i still get it

This sounds like you have a corrupt effects package. I would suggest attempting to verify your cache.

If that doesn't work, try deleting all the files NOT located in deeper folders in the following 2 locations and verifying cache:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\ROGame\CookedPC

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\ROGame\CookedPC\Packages\Effects

i had no great problems since release (lucky one) but now i got this black screen thing and this makes it unplayable

I'm seeing a pattern.

I've got an Nvidia 8800GTS, but I've not experienced this. No surprise since it's not one of the new series.
