I agree, I don't see how anyone who liked Battlefield when it was PC only can like this console route. I remember the Devs (Dice) claiming the PC version wouldn't be a port but that's what PC gamers got.

BF3 is kind of like going for the hottest woman you can find, only to find out despite her amazing *** and shapely tits she's really not that interesting. Then she stops putting out and starts nagging you for more money. Then you wish you never bothered with her to begin with.

RO2 makes me consistently hold my breath because the fighting becomes so intense. I find myself sweating in my seat, and squeezing my mouse from the anxiety. ****'s rough man, but a LOT of fun. No one wants a shallow broad once the excitements gone.

I don't get it, RO2 is fun and all - BUT it IS a shallow game. They watered down the series to be more casual. Yes, it's more "hardcore" than say...CoD - but that's not saying much. The SMGs have no recoil with laser-like accuracy and range, the semi-auto's don't seem to have a kick back. I guess camping and shooting through windows is "hardcore", they might as well have called the game Window Combat 2: Heroes of Windowgrad. Before you say OMG YOU ARE A NOOB to me, I've plugged in several hours into the game and have stats to prove that I'm not a "noob".

Those who haven't played Caspian Border (64 man conquest) and are knocking on BF3 are absolutely clueless, and I'll just leave that as is. Why even compare the two games in the first place?

Hey no doubt about the intense action in RO2. You'll go through a spell of WTF seeming everytime you stick your head up...POW split cranium. But then you get those moments where it's so intense, well it reminds me of Saving Private Ryan at the end when they made there stand to hold the bridge....then after it's over you go man that was FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Everyone seems to be missing the actual point but focusing on the title.Typical.

The BETA is a 3 months old build, they still have 25 days to fix the main bugs, wich are already dealt with, because it's a 3 months old build. The vehicle bug is quite hilarious, never encountered it though :p.

The beta is only a 1 month old build.Get your facts straight,DICE fanboy.

I have been playing Battlefield since BF1942,and I think that what they did with Battlefield 3(and the bull****,console based "Bad Company" games) is absolutely horrible.

It is NOT a true sequel to Battlefield 2.If it was,I'd buy it and play it like mad without doubt. With the bugs or not.Heck even the bad performance or limited destruction is not important.

All I wanted was a REAL BF2 sequel, and you release a "Bad Company 3".A polished "Bad Company engine" with better graphics but apparently dumbed down destruction, and a Medal of Honor(2010)-ish gameplay.I'm not even mentioning the game still has hit detection and cover lag issues, just like Lag Company 2.Great job DICE.

And no,I'm not even being a nostalgiafag.DICE claimed that Battlefield 3 was a "True sequel to Battlefield 2",with those exact words. And seeing its a Bad Company 2 sequel, simply dissapoints me,by mad amounts.

It's pretty funny to see people in here pointing out the flaws and complete screwups from larger game developers with their games that are close to release.... and then see a pile of people come along and say "BF3 is still in beta, it's not like RO2."

Well when RO2 was still in the Beta stage, many of those same people came all up in here to b*tch out Tripwire and RO2 because of all the bugs, all the glitches, how they were ripped off, how they wanted their money back and how BF3 was going to be so wonderful that they'd toss their copy of RO2 & just stick to BF3.

And now we're seeing that BF3 is far worse in its Beta stage than RO2 ever was in its Beta stage and they're crying about the unfair comparisons and trying to defend EA/Dice and BF3 by any lame means necessary.

BF3 is still in Beta...... BF3 is still in Beta.......

Yeah.... RO2 was still in Beta when people were trashing the crap out of it, yet that didn't stop people.

And now the shoe is on the other foot and some just don't like the crap being flung back their way, which they tossed first.

Aaawwwwww..... Poor muffins.

EA/Dice are big wig companies, with piles of employees and piles of money & resources at their disposal, yet they released a crap Beta, with one Map and far more horrid glitches and bugs than RO2's Beta ever had..... which was designed by a smaller Developer, with more limited funds and manpower.

But now BF3 is the victim.... EA/Dice are the poor guys being picked on for releasing such a crap Beta & Tripwire now seems like the multi-billion dollar game developer with trollish fans?

Funny how that works.

I prefer BF3 over RO2, im tired of waiting for fixes and all that. I have been waiting since beta for performance to be better but it has not gotten better. Im pretty sure im not the only one who feels that way about RO2, just look at how many people are playing. It peaked at around 2500 players today.

There's going to be a huge patch for RO2 that's supposed to correct many of the performance & graphical issues very soon.....

But Sure... jump ship & back track your enjoyment of a game that is being continually improved upon to climb onto another ship that's even worse and made by a company known for long waits for patches & updates.... or simply never bothering to fix long-term issues after a few months due to running off to make another buggy game.

If you're tired of waiting for a game to be fixed, you certainly went the wrong way by jumping to BF3 :D

Your loss & your waste of time.

Cpt-Praxius pretty much summed up my thoughts on the "its still in beta" defense.
The ban for playing on non-authorized servers isn't that unusual though, I recall people getting banned for stuff like that in BF2 and 2142.
Don't you loose everything on Steam if you get banned? (only if you're cheating IIRC)

I played some BF3, and no, couldn't play caspian border.
I wasn't very impressed with what I saw, but then again, after BC2 I haven't been interested in battlefield like I used to.

The serverbrowser battlelog thingie needs to die, the only thing it does half-right is the friends list (IIRC that didn't work until 2-3 months after release of BC2) but pretty much everything else about it is not well executed.

One theory I have is that they chose Op. Metro for the CoD crowd, to show off BF3's superior gameplay to those who tried it out.

To BF3s defense, BF2 wasn't the shining beacon of perfection, but it does have the awesome mods forgotten hope 2 (bastard spotted!) and project reality.

Red Orchestra 2 isn't intense at all. There is no time for Red Orchestra 2 to be intense. Your either dead or alive. Your never really pinned down and stranded and if you are pinned down by machine gun fire then that machine gunner is about to die in less than a second from your team mate.

1 second of intensiveness. Not worth it.

PS - Bugs are bugs. They will be fixed. Take a look at what is intended (Not a bug).

Red Orchestra 2 doesn't have prolonged firefights thanks to a lot of bullet penetration and people being way too accurate with their guns (not enough sway). That's what is killing RO2 for me right now and Battlefield offers more of this. RO2 has nothing else to offer me. The only reason I bought the game is because I thought I was going to be pinned down behind walls screaming GET THAT MG but it's more like running when you think it's all safe to be picked off by some guy you could never of seen but thats okay because I can just respawn, complain on forums, get told to play on these "Countdown servers which totally exist but there is no such thing as a 24/7 64 player countdown server" and so on =)

At least I can play Bf3 without getting frustrated out of my mind by bad gameplay decisions.

Because dying to a bad netcode is better than getting murdered by a "grey area" weapons that may have been there. As for "intense" gunplay, that is not going to last long once people start to figure out what guns to use and its going to be about as much fun as Shogun slugs in BC2...

BF3 twitter
Dice isn't game developer that can fix something fast. It took them several years to fix bf2. Bc2 is still broken today.
So bf3 ****ed situation.
And the only thing that can come from Dice is another lame vietnam dlc, or some skins...
And the reason why i dont even give a **** about bf3, is that it is too cod. Well it is the best game for cod players, cuz it is still better than cod, same **** only better.

But I really liked BC2:'nam because they made so much more lethal than vanilla BC2 but the maps were much more worse than the BC2 maps...

Nice..... So basically if you jump onto a server that has more than 32 players, whether on purpose or by accident due to not paying attention.... you risk having your account banned, your game rendered useless and they might even do the same for every single other EA game you bought. There's no real advantage or disadvantage with a specific player count on a map, it's just more people to shoot at and more people to shoot you.

I am glad that i am not the only one with such a opion.

The youth is spoiled and there are many people who can`t be positive.
Think they are also in real live are very negative.

But indeed people must stop attacking Tripwire.

I say it once more they made a hell of a good job.
I am still playing with a smile on my face.

I don't think consoles ports are to blame, if anything you should be really sorry for our console Brethren as at least we get a choice other than CoD or BF3. And is that twitter source citable? Because if it is then lulz at the people saying that BF3 is less of a let down than RO2...
