Beta test

When will there be beta test? I heard there will be beta, but is there any info on it yet?

for quite a few weeks there has been going on the 'friends and family' closed beta. i think, outside of the Tripwire people there might be around 100 or so in that beta. maybe fewer.

Yoshiro is currently reviewing clan applications for the larger clan beta, and that should be opening up in the next week or so ( I presume...not real knowledge there.)

I have no idea when/if there will actually be a wider beta, but there still may be time for that.

Bottom line: there's only about 5 weeks till release. It's almost here, so why worry about getting into a beta or not?

I don't understand why people is so eager to get in beta. I rather play HOES in it's full splendor than play a buggy version. I'd join a beta only to help with bug fixing and server stress tests, but it seems that some users see "beta" as "demo".

So there was a plan of 3 stages for the beta?
1. family and friends beta
2. clan beta
3. larger beta

I thought was going to be family and friends,and then straight to the larger beta.

really tight schedule if they go first with clan beta and then start organising larger beta,I dont see the large beta happening,too much hustle and headache....

well the game has a bit more than a month till release, so if they release the larger beta say 2-3 weeks from now people can still have time to check it out.

I still think they should wait till release and just polish the bugs
