ALL BETA TESTERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

For those of you participated in the Beta of Red Orchestra: Ostfront, we are rolling out an update to the Beta shortly. This update includes cumulative bug fixes for bugs found during testing of the beta over the past couple of weeks. In addition the update contains the first pass of the German language localized version of the game. We would like to thank all of you that have been participating in the beta thus far for helping us polish up the game and get it ready for the public release next Tuesday.

As part of this update, we are also testing some Steam functionality that is only available in the Beta version of steam. Thus you will need to create a special Steam shortcut to launch steam for the remainder of the Ostfront beta. Please change your shortcut to steam to read as follows:

steam.exe -clientbeta steam3friends -beta steam3friends

It is very important that you do this, as you beta will no longer function online without setting up this shortcut. This special shortcut will NOT be required for the full retail version of Ostfront. For more information on the Steam beta and setting up your shortcut please refer to this page: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Friends_Beta

where do we add that line? Do we have to open the steam.exe and physically add that line?
For your Steam shortcut do the following:

Right click on the shortcut to Steam that you have > Properties > Shortcut tab > Add to the end of the "Target" line there

Make sure there is only ONE space between the last quote mark and the start of the additional command line. It should look something like this at the end:
\Steam.exe" -clientbeta steam3friends -beta steam3friends

go to your desktop shortcut of Steam, right click and select properties. Add that line in the target area, click ok and start Steam. It will do a update and you are ready to roll.

how i can set the parameters there?

or do i have to take it out of the autorun and start steam with the shortcut and the changd parameters?
