Beat Boxing. Yeah. I was fortunate enough to attend ResFest, a five-day digital film festival, in 2002 at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF where on Saturday night they played a documentary called 'Breath Control: History of the Human Beat Box'. It was the best film of the whole five days.. standing ovation. You wont be able to find this anywhere (I dont really know why they dont bring it to DVD, it'd sell a million copies), so if you happen to see it being played somewhere in an art house near you - GO SEE IT. Even if you arent a fan of hip-hop or beat-boxing - it's incredible. Honestly, I feel privileged to have seen it; so many people are trying hard to find it. in regards to the Beardyman video - A fun video. Now, I'm not trying to engage in a 'who's the best beat boxer' back and forth (those can get pretty silly, besides, we all know it's Roots member Rahzel), but I didnt see anything in the video Bobby McFerrin couldnt do.
