I know this mod may appeal only to a few individuals but I wonder if any body would consider a bayonet defense/survival mod?

Basically one group is spawned as defenders and the other may only use bayonets. If you die as a defender you are switched to the bayonet team. This simplifies to a zombie mod, but with a real world twist.

Got the idea from a short conflict in the actual game. A man was defending the stairway so my teammate and I charged up with bayonets: we died...

Also was influenced by the rising storm banzai attack idea.

Feel free to castigate the mod idea. :D

Some clanmates and I did something like this, only it was bayonet jousting.

We'd line up opposite the NCO barracks on Barracks and charge full speed at each other, bayos at the ready. Loser died first.

Our unit has something called "House of Pain" where one group hold a location (Pavlov's House, for example) and another group take the location. Bayonets only.

Kind of reminds me of our "glorious historically accurate reenactment of the battle of Stalingrad" where we had a bunch of us (40+ guys) charge one machine-gun nest all in good fun. We could only use our bayonets. :p

I remember that there was a RO1 server running a map which allowed only bayonets. The map was that big hole from the movie 300(this is sparta!).

Great idea, the attacking team could have a number of AI bots. But the AI use to be werry weird in mele combat, somtimes they rock sometimes they suck, but thats how bots allways been.
Cheers! :)
