thx Klaus. I recently watched the final episode of Season IV and was VERY disappointed with the ending. What a load of donkey genetalia that was.

This will help flush some of the rancidness away.

Yeah, uhhh, I'm one of the few who never watched the newer Battlestar Galactica series. The old one from the 70's, yes... the modern one, no.

I've heard great things about it, sooo, I'm adding Season 1 of the newer series to my Netflix queue. While doing so, however, I've come across what appear to be movies(?) in addition to the series.. titles like 'The Story So Far' 'Razor' 'Caprica' 'The Plan'. What are these? Do they have anything to do with the series? Is it a must that I watch them to keep up with the story line?

Most of the Netflix reviews are glowing, but some also said things like there was too much soft porn added and the ending to the entire thing sucked balls.. any truth to that?

Razor comes after season 2 really, Caprica should just be the pilot for a different series, The Plan you shouldn't watch until the very end, and The Story so far was just a recap of seasons 1 and 2 before 3 started. None of them are essential to the main plot.

I don't remember any soft porn...and the ending will be entirely down to you.

Thanks Sheep.. I'm looking forward to the series (also starting 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' season 1 :p).

One more post and you've hit 2000... self-reflection time :D

I thought the whole end of season 3 and whole season 4 were very disappointing. So many unbelievable dumb scenes and plot twists, also felt like the story was dragging(seemed to focus on the characters more, which I didn't really care for the most of them). Season 1, 2 and starting of 3 are just gold tho. Loved every bit of those.

Is this movie just about the tv serie from cylon point of view? Are there any pre-quel stuff from the cylon rebellion ect? I would be more interested in the war between humans and cylons and maybe focusing on the things that lead to that war.

@Masta

I havent had the chance to compare the two, but from what I understand the newer one is way better. Modern special effects, deeper story lines etc.

Still have never watched an episode. Eddie Olmos is one of my old friends godfather. I met him once, and thought he was a really nice guy.

I've just seen this movie and I can only say that is an absolute MUST SEE for anyone who has watched the series.

Cavil has become my favorite character in BSG =)

I only watched the first half with a friend, but then we had to go. From what I've seen it seems like only someone who watched the series can watch the movie at all.
I saw the series (but it's been a while) and even for me the movie felt like a disjointed best-of-deleted-scenes compilation rather than a movie.

Maybe it gets better towards the end and then it's enjoyable on repeated viewings, but so far I'm not impressed with the movie at all.

The old cylon daddy is as cool as ever though.:p

It's alright, I don't agree with Edward James Olmos that, after watching The Plan, I feel compelled to go back and rewatch the whole series. Don't get me wrong though, it was wonderful seeing more Battlestar Galactica and I hope there are more movies on the horizon.

Ultimately, it wasn't earth shattering in terms of what it brought to the table, but it did tie up some loose ends.
