Yeah, unfortunately the Steam integration of Battlefield ****ed a lot of things up, particularly for people that bought the complete, offline package. Games with big overarching account systems, and multiple dependent expansions have never jived with Steam well when they're added retroactively. Company of Heroes is the exact same bull****.

Hrm, I don't remember it being this way, but it's been awhile. Hey, I just built a new system, I need to install BF2 again anyways. Guess I'll find out which it is.

I should have been more clear, I have brand new boxed copy that I just bought because Steam version mods don't work. And I also have CoH from Steam and I know that it was soooooooo big screw up I can think of, having to download the whole game each and everytime update was released...

Tell me how it goes. I just deleted everything BF2 has in my system, including all the registry entries or whatever. Installed just BF2 from the disc and everything it automatically installs(1.41 patch), and still it gives me no valid cd-key. If it only had something other problem like crashing or error messages and I could try to find some solid fix for it or changing drivers ect, but this....

The single player is.
MP is similar to MW2, as in, laggy, and buggy, and crappy hitboxes.

I love the helicopters though, I'm the best pilot out there.

Bad Company 2 was surprisingly good in my experience. Far better then the other crapfest Modern Warfare 2. (Medal of Honor doesn't seem to be any better.)

Well it looks exactly like stock BC2 gameplay in a Vietnam setting. Not necessarily a bad thing. Misaligned weapon sights indeed though. How hard is that to get right? Plus they're sticking with the oversized weapons that fill half the screen. And only 4 maps? Looks like its value will depend on the pricing. I'm thinking $20usd is appropriate.

If they keep the excellent music blasting from Huey's and US bases from the original BFV I'm pretty much sold. I don't think TGS cam video will do the game justice. We need a proper high res trailer.

Battlefield Free4Play announced. Pretty much looks like(and probably is) BF2/BF Online from Korea. Might give it a try, but looking at how it only has 32 players(why?) you might just as well simply play BF2 again.

that actually looks pretty awesome for once, still, they have most ironsights wrong there(as in only using the front sight), no side-specific weapons and the fact that there are still no new BC2 maps keep me from buying.
