Allright, using that proxy setting, I played a tad with the SP campaign on hard. My short verdict:
The good:
Graphics look generally nice, especially the lightning.
The weapons feel great.
The atmosphere is great.
The bad:
While the graphics could be gorgeous, they are hindered by two things: the greenish tint that was cool back when the matrix was new, and the goddamn "dirty lense" effect. That one's so bad occasionally that it's quite hard not to stop playing, especially since you don't see much against light in dark areas. Which in itself is great, but the dirty lense effect doesn't make any sense. it's like you're not watching through the eyes, but through a helmet mounted camera. Or your character has a huge plexiglass panel right in front of his face...
Sloppy scripting: ranging from AI comrades running through objects (including, but not limited to full blown trucks) to magical weapon changes between loading screens, even if it shouls actually be a seamless continuation.
Generally horrible AI, both of friendlies and enemies.
Sometimes you need to stay not to die, sometimes you need to advance... only way to know the difference? trial and error, at least on hard.
QTE. Why do we need those again? Either make it a cutscene, so I can watch the action rather than the bottom of the screen for prompts, OR make it part of normal gameplay!
All in all, the SP campaign feels a lot like CoD. You got spectacular setpieces, nice atmosphere and nonstop action.
But it's also very linear.
