In the other thread I said bushes are OP, as shown by TB there as there is no bloody way to root people out of them and the bushes are NOT shredded by gun fire...

An RPG flushes them out just fine. If that fails I get into the same bush from a different position and spray their face at gunpoint.

My main problem is getting terrible FPS stutters in the game, regardless of my graphics settings. It's just totally unplayable.

I know my GTX260 isn't top of the line, but I at least figured I'd be able to run the game on medium/low settings with decent performance.

The visual and sound effects are seizure inducing.
The face-facing 3rd person view killcam makes me want to puke.

I'm mostly shooting at red icons and spots of light. The overall movement and shooting sucks. It's pretty, flashy, constantly reward you with **** I don't care about and it's a gigantic mess.

To be honest, I didn't expect to enjoy it, but the trailers made me curious.

1) That hole on the park section is REALLY getting bad now and its next to impossible to cap A because *****es keep on hiding under it.

2) Remember how TWI kept on patching the beta making it much better? There is a good chance DICE wont be doing that:
http://bf3blog.com/2011/09/battlefield-3-beta-update-released/

3) Holy... wow... I'm pretty sure everything is OP to some degree on BF3, after playing support and now I just went engie... The M4 is just insane, it would not take a pic of the scoreboard but I got 33/11. I mean, everything bad said about RO2 guns is nothing next to this monster, you just point, hold down the trigger and people die FAST... crazy stuff...

Uhm, they rolled out a server patch yesterday that largely fixed the ground clipping issues on Metro. Either that GSP didn't update the servers or something else screwy is going on. I've played on about 6 different servers since yesterday afternoon and haven't run into the horrible ground clipping at all like I did in the closed beta period.

The hole is still there, for sure as I feel into it but I was unable to take a screen shot as modern games seem to hate prt scr for some reason...

Breaking news: scientists discover a way to mount the sun on small arms.

This sums it up pretty much.
Take a torch of huge brightness and let a friend shine towards you.
It doesn't look like that...

Maybe it's one of those Make everything shiny and it will look better graphical 'updates'?

More like it's just an excuse to shoe-in another gameplay mechanic that people are just going to ***** about.

See?

actually some military grade flashlights, like surefire or trustfire, that can reach up to 800 lumens, are bright enough to make it painful to look at the light and to turn ur head away

Are you sure about those lumen values, Slinky? Wikipedia says: "For example, according to the European Union standard, an energy-efficient bulb that claims to be the equivalent of a 60 W tungsten bulb must have a minimum light output of 806 lumens" (Clickage!). It sure is not that painful to look at a normal lightbulb.

Painful is not the same as complete blinding though.

800 lumens in a concentrated beam is much more intense than a light bulb, the flashlight on my Galil AR is so intense that its blinding even in broad daylight. Maybe the developers didnt see any other way to implement this, a whole black screen simulating closed eyes or forced head turn would be even more stupid :) just my thoughts
