I think people are confusing this part 'first BF game released on consoles' with 'BF1942'

I hear awesome sounds(reference once again), an incredible city view(never seen something of that scale with such good graphics before), incredible effects(mortar round explosion), and generally very awesome atmosphere eventhough it's only 20 seconds or sth.

I don't remember mortars in CoD4 SP. And just because a game has some scripted scenes and guns doesn't mean it's a cod clone. But oh well, haters gonna hate(although I don't count him in that category)

Although BF3 multi-player looks like being another turgid mess like BC2 and MOH I like the look of the single-player stuff I've seen.

I'm starting to tire of these kinds of trailers where you have to squint to get a glimpse of anything meaningful. Hey EA, guess what, I CAN GO ON YOUTUBE AND FIND GAMEPLAY VIDEOS OF BF3.

All I'm saying is that we're clearly passed the "teaser" stage, and yet they keep giving us annoying teasers.

Granted it's short, but at least it didn't fade to seconds of black after every split-second of gameplay footage.

Of course in the end it'll still depend on the gameplay + the pacing. But I trust DICE to do a good job, can't be worse than the last modern warfares SP-wise at least.

I dont see anything bad with the fact that this looks looks like cod 4 SP, because that was pretty good imo.

Visuals are stunning, as always. Especially that mortar/arty explosion at 00:16, looks almost life-like, best i've seen in any game.

Considering he's finnish, and his avatar is the mark of artillery spotter, I'd say he has seen his share of artillery and mortar explosions.
I was the NCO of an artillery spotter group too, back in the finnish defense forces, and yes I too think the explosions look top notch
