Thought so because of the barrell, anyways killstats showed a AK74M so either that is it and they got it wrong or they have an AK74M too.

Nah, I was wrong and didn't look properly.

It's an AK-74M, although it has some details that would be more apropriate for an AK-107.

Meh I'm probably not going to get Battlefield 3, I just, well, don't find it (or most FPS's nowadays) extremely interesting. I'm not going to say "hurr casual" or something along those lines to insult people that are excited about this game.

It's good that people are excited for a more realistic game and are slowly moving away from games like the latest Call of Duty's. But I think having my main platform be PC has spoiled me. There's loads of different genres that I can play on my PC and I can play games that are much closer to what I want to play. For example, most of the games I've played as of late have been Europa Universalis III, Hearts of Iron III, and Victoria II, because I'm a sucker for grand strategy games like the ones Paradox makes.

Now, there are various other grand strategy games that I could be playing, from less complex ones like Risk or the Total War series, or more complex ones (I can't think of their names at the moment, but I do know they exist). But the Paradox strategy games strikes the right chord for me.

It's the same goes for FPS's, there's loads of different FPS games that I could play, but the ones that I never really get tired of are Red Orchestra, and Resistance and Liberation. I could play faster paced, but less realistic games like CoD or Battlefield, or I could play slower paced and more realistic games like ARMA II (Which I do play from time to time), but RnL and RO strike the right chord.

The game still looks damn incredible, even at this stage in development for the consoles.

If you look at the buildings in the background,
the ones that are around 100 meters away^^ (pointing to background =D)
you can see the lack of detail and how they look smooth, and other graphical things. Not to mention that wretched movement with the analog sticks was horrible.

Good thing it is being developed on PC first.

Didn't look as impressive as the PC version(obviously) but still very good. Though with 512mb of memory and 2005 hardware I think you can only do so much. It will definitely improve until release.

Looks great to me. If I was interested in this kind of game (and if it had splitscreen multiplayer) I would be very pleased.

Forum a band of players and complain the hell about it on BF3 forums. Hopefully DICE will cave in and add that :)

thing is, I didn't like BF2 at all so I doubt I will like this. I did like the mods for bf2 like forgotten hope and project reality, but seeing as how there is no mod support for this game, no matter how impressive it looks(and so far, for me, its not that impressive) i wont be buying it only because its supposed to be a continuation of bf2

In the PS3 trailer I notice two things I am very scared of staying in the game.

First thing was just really ugly smoke (just before the rpg hits the car in front of him), hope it's because the PS3 can't handle it.

Also breaking walls with 2/3 5.56mm bullets is just so damn overkill...
Destroying a building with a LAW; well it did look cool, but this is just no fun anymore
"Let's hide in the giant cardboard box which is textured as a solid bunker"

Hope it are PS3 related observations

Nope that's their idea of destruction haha. I'm more of an infantry person. So having interior fighting where they limit the destruction is going to be a god send.

Until people start lobbing grenades in hallways haha.
