Battlefield 2014 Military Fest took place this weekend in Russia near the village of Dubosekovo. The place where the famous division of General Panfilov fought the Germans in 1941.
The fest concentrated on reenactment of two WW2 events - Operation Barbarossa 1941 and Operation Bagration 1944.

The fest was a live action debut for restored T-35 heavy tank. Here is a short video of mine:

Also there is video (not mine, all credits go to the author) shot by quadrocopter which gives a nice overeview of the entire action

See attached photos of some interesting steel beasts. All moving and fully functional :IS2:

This shot is brilliant, looks like the real thing:

The other shots are a bit too crowded to look real, looks more like CoH :p

The one crowded shot by the same author :)

All the event looked a bit crowded due to relatively small size of the field. I visited only the first day, but i heard that as some clubs left on the second day it looked more dynamic with less participants.

I am really looking forward to the next year's fest devoted to 70th anniversary of the great Victory :IS2:

Man, that looks awesome! So jealous, they really know how to do Eastern Front reenactments out there in the old country. Good luck finding one here in SoCal.

Sick T-35 too. Would have loved to see that thing rolling around. Thanks for the video by the way!
