Right, so here's the setup;

During the occupation of Norway, the Germans failed to capture our king and many politicians. The Royal Guard, in fact, escorted King Haakon VII to a farm called Midtskogen.

The Germans then dropped down 100 paratropper units armed with mostly MP40s, trying to attack the farm and take the king.

The Norwegians, with 90 men and 2 machine guns fortified themselves at the Midstkogen farm and ultimately won.

Map. Norwegians at the farm in the north-east part.
Germans right across the river. (They are the red arrows)

Balance and technical stuff:
Now, the Norwegians have one kind of unit here. Rifleman. Armed with Nagant Revolvers (Lucky, don't have to model a new gun) and Krag-J

Are there high-res terrain elevations for that area? If you're going to get into RO mapping, you should go the whole way and get it as accurate as you possibly can--there's some way of importing the terrain from either a scanned map or a certain data file. And if you can make a field trip to the location to take reference photos, that would be really cool--that way us players can hide behind the same rock or little grassy hole as the real guys. Have fun!

It would be nice, but as far as I can see, the farm's structure has changed. :(

There are tutorials for getting grey scale height maps from Google earth. like this one
Thanks, little brony. :D

I would love to see a Norwegian Theater Mod in this game!

Tho, how would you solve the the biggest problem by far; Voice acting?
(Would be kinda weird hearing Russian accent voices when playing Norwegian?)
Would have to be Norwegian voice actors speaking English with a native accent.

And that's not the biggest problem. Designing, coding, texturing, modeling and so on would be the biggest challenge. XD

I might be able to help with the sound editing, have done some stuff for simracing in the past.
Including a Norwegian Co-driver pacenote mod for Richard Burns Rally.

That'd be nice. You judge if my work is worthy of your time, based on the stuff I post here. :p

Though, the SDK is not out yet so... well, all I can show you are the meshes.

Just contact me when you get it rolling and tell me what sounds you would like.

Oh. One of the guys is a singer, songwriter, player.
He'll be happy to make some music for the mod I'm sure.

Good luck.

Looking forward to see your work! ;)

Personally I'm gonna start recreating a Omaha Beach Easy Red sector map I made for DoD Source. Just need to wait for the SDK
Wow, thanks a boatload.

I'm really getting into this. Making models. Bought a DVD on unrealscript.
Bought 16gigs of RAM. I might actually travel to Midtskogen if little has changed.

Those pics do help to sort of get a 3d picture of the place.

HELP NEEDED:
I am having a sort of problem finding the exact uniform of these fine gents. From what I can find, this is the garde uniform

Though, I do not know if they had any sort of winterwear.

Also, impressive stuff you made. Funny, it's strange to see that I'm the 3rd guy making Midtskogen.
