the bandaging system is unrealistic and "arcadey". im going to make a suggestion that i think would make the game better... bash away ~

if it were up to me - i would increase the time before a player would bleed out to roughly 1 to 2 minutes with the player being very limited in movement and aiming effectiveness. the only way to be bandaged, would be by a teammate. if the player wasnt healed by teammate, he would slowly just fade to black. players would recieve points for bandaging a teammate. every player would carry 2 bandages as they do now. not only would this seem more realistic, but it would also help induce teamplay and running together as a group to support each other.

I made a suggestion about bandaging in my big Suggestions thread. Here http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=57224. People seem to really like my ideas in this thread esspecially the Bandaging one. If you like the other ideas, it's in need of a little bump.

i did search...and all i found was threads that were talking about bandaging "time" and just getting rid of bandaging all together. the thread i started has nothing to do with either of those concepts, but a different concept entirely. this forum is for "ideas and suggestions" - hence the reason this forum is titled "ideas and suggestions". if you dont want to read about things like this, dont go in this forum, and certainly dont click on threads that you feel have been thoroughly covered previously. kapeesh?

IMO its a good idea in general, however I think the desired pace for RO HOS might be a bit too quick for a 30 second bleed out when the intended lifetime is measured in minutes.

That being said I wouldent mind if RO's pace slowed down a bit and I know that it will on larger maps so this isnt all that out of place. I would make a suggested change that players can bandage themeselves, but it would take longer than a teammate aiding them. In the hardcore mode, all lethal 'bleedout' areas could only be bandaged by a teammate, all other non vital areas ( usually the farther out extremities ) could be self bandaged..

at a minimum though I would increase bleed out time for all non fade to black kills& increase bandage time to at least 5 seconds.

i did say bash away ~ but i meant debating whether one likes or dislike the idea of teammate healing...not whether this should even be discussed.

i dont want bandaging removed from the game...i like the idea of being able to bandage up a non fatal wound and then being able to continue on in the fight. i just dont care for the current design of the way bandaging works. it just seems out of place in the way it is currently implemented.
