Bandaging/bleedout

I am not sure if I am missing something here, but the bandage thing seems to be hit and miss. I'll get hit, the message will pop up telling me i am wounded and to bandage myself. Sometimes it works and I hear the bandage etc while other times the screen just turns black and stays black while i mash the the bandage key with no effect and wait for the game to respond. I am not dead, but neither can I move or respawn. The screen is black. MAybe my video card is baked? Or is it a bug? Regardless, the experience isn't very intuitive.

Bandages work with non lethal shots or minor bleeding, but if you get hit in places like the stomach you'll slowly die and can't you anything about it. I think the *press X to bandage* message should be remove when the latter happens.

Na, it's a game thing it seems, not hardware.

It's like you get shot, the game thinks you have enough "blood" left but you lose it before you can bandage up. Essentially as if you could have saved yourself, if you have insta-reflexes.

I havent paid attention enough to notice if the stuck in time slow death is from blood loss, have noticed gut shots will kill a guy..... in about five minutes. Which is what you get with the bandage - death issue.
