I've taken down plenty with the MG34 with one shot that wasn't a head shot.
In regards to the MG34's accuracy, give the semi-auto on the MG34 a go..... it's brutal & most of the time, nobody sees where the shot came from due to no long streams of bullets or flash.... and is very accurate.
I think that it's not a balance problem, but players problem. Soviet team can win if it's members know that they are doing. Most of the time the Allies are losing only becasue they don't use tactics and it is each man for himself while Axis players are often operating with more sense and teamplay. I've been there, I've seen it. Axis can lose a match too.
Give people more time to learn how to play or to get bored and move on and we will see a lot more even games. That's my point. I also have not problem with any weapon, no matter what side it is on.

When comparing the MP40 with the PPSH it is absolutely obvious that it is unbalanced.The MP40 is modeled correctly while the PPSH has exaggerated recoil, especially while standing the jumping recoil feels like you are riding a horse.Up down Up down Up down.I am all for recoil, i love it, it makes shooting so more intense but the problem is this jumping recoil is uncontrolable.Yes ,it get s weaker when you level your gun but it still sucks.
Those arguments like: I can easily own 3 people with the PPSH, it is so good is just bogus.Every gun CAN own in a very small niche, like the PPSH doing double or triple kills when people line up stupidly and you are lucky.
Yes the PPSH is accurate and you can shoot people in windows, so can the the MP40 .... but on running targets,multiple targets that a more far away where you have to aim differently and shoot longer bursts the recoil just makes the PPSH worse than the MP40
It is the overall performance that counts and overall the MP40 is the way better smg.
