Awesome Headset deal at Canada Computers

They seem like a solid choice, especially for that price. Have not tried them myself, but as you said, reviews seem generally positive.

I wouldn't buy the for the full price, since this is Corsairs first try at making a headset. Still, considering how well it turned out, I see Corsair being quite the contender in the gaming headset market in the near future.

Corsair have responded to our comments on the use of 3.5mm connectors on the HS1. They say that the use of USB is a requirement which has to be met in order to licence Dolby Headphone. Corsair saw this feature as a priority and so opted for USB over 3.5mm.

Also, the HS1a comes with a 3.5mm connector, but that's not for sale there.
