lol why do ppl hate the M4 that much?? It might have some technical flaws but all in all it's very handy, fairly accurate and does look good too.

In case I was misunderstood, what I meant to say is that the 5.56x45mm is a fine cartridge for, say, prarie dogs, but ridiculously underpowered for combat.

As if you hadn't already. From this comment you lost all credibility.

Oh really? How many casualized as hell shooters had an M4 with an EOTech sight on the trailers?
Even Serious Sam 3, wich isn't casual by any means, had the M4 as the first weapon seen in the first trailer. Seriously, it anoying as hell.

And regarding what is said about the M4 being bad it's true, it IS bad. I've fired one myself several times and I know what I mean by it's bad.
It jams like a mofo, requires very high maintenance and fires a stupidly weak round.
When you shoot a people 3 times and they can still stand up and fire it you acurratly you know your weapon is bad, or in the very least not very good.
I wouldn't put my life in the hands of someone that was using one because they just can't be trusted.

But by far the main reasons are :

-British-ness of KF being toned down
-M4 are a symbol of casualized, tacticool shooters, something KF is the opposite of

Devs care to confirm/deny? There appear to be a couple more TF2 references around your update pages and achievements this time around. Can we expect another tie in?

I don't wanna sound like a complainer but the TF2 tie-in severly damaged the KF community with retards that don't know how to play as a team. Like seriously, LVL 0 Commandos with shotguns on HoE servers is NOT ok.

That is called random NEW players joining RANDOM servers so they can play. If a lot of people play on HoE, how will they know what it is being brand new to the game? Give it a break already cause all i've seen is you completely being disrespectful for all of what TWI has done in their time. They have given something to this community what no other has done. Shut up and get lost so make your mind up

Well, if they're a level 0 on HoE that probably means they didn't know it was the hardest mode/don't know what the difficulty curve means. Honestly not really their fault as the difficulty in most games doesn't mean as much as it does in KF.

repeated Suggestion below:
Spoiler!

Even if said newbies join a server with higher difficulty that they can handle I warn them and give them tips.
It's just WHY in the world would people join a game on the highest difficulty level the 1st time they play it is what I dont understand. I never do this, I allways go for Normal at first to see the general dificulty and build up my skill for said game based upon Normal and work my way up.

Is it just me, or does the MP5M look incredibly uncomfortable to get a cheek weld on with the dart launcher attachment on there?

Which is why we at least need a warning message (Or something like it) when someone with level 3 perks (or whatever number) and below tries to enter a Suicidal or HoE server that pops up to them, saying that it's a difficult mode and that they probably shouldn't play it yet. Then we'd actually know if the people joining are braindead ****s or not.
You know what mate...that's a really good idea. I really have thought about the game having some sort of welcome message when you go into the server. A "hint" message could be done the way you said it by warning them that the difficulty is too high for their level and may be best to go to a lower difficulty server.

Like someone above said, the game doesn't make difficulties all that clear on the server browser, people probably just join the first thing they see to try the game out. While I can see why this might be annoying, I don't see how having an influx of new players can be seen as negative. The bad players often give up once they see the game is not for them, and then the community will have a bit more life thanks to those that enjoyed the game and stayed.

All it takes is patience. Things will always equalise eventually, and if the longevity of the game is helped then I'm all for it.

On playing a singleplayer game I often choose the hardest difficulty from the off, just for more challenge from the get go.

I can understand why people would do it on killing floor, because they might not know too much about the game but think that they had enough skill to beat the hardest difficulty. Or something.

So from the video and achievements,
-Revolver is dual wieldable, Dual Revolvers weigh 4, presumably so does a single, you start with half full ammo when you buy two, capacity of 6 rounds per revolver, holds at least 90 rounds, penetrates through at least 1 zed, uses speed loaders for quick reloading, is 44 magnum
-MP5M weighs only 3 and fires healing darts with altfire, just like the MP7, holds 51 rounds at level 3 medic, (so that's 32 rounds off-perk, and 64 rounds at level 6) has a pretty sweet reloading animation, and seemingly fires in quick 4 round bursts that can be interrupted
-Claymore appears to weigh 5 blocks, basically a slower stronger Katana.
-M4 fires in 3 round bursts unless zips just happened to hold his trigger that long with it, the sight is not magnified, has a offperk capacity of 24 (that's 30 at level 6)
-Combat shotgun hold 6 rounds, weighs 8 blocks, fires pretty quickly (zips mostly fired slowly in the vid, but did a couple double taps), holds at least 42 rounds, seems to have a tighter spread than the pump
-Husks aren't totally immune to the fireball launcher
And is that new music I hear in Ice Cave?
-Gingerfasts are still delicious

I think the achievement I'll have the most trouble with is "Bloody Yanks".
MP5 and M4 are fully automatic, I just didn't go full auto when playing with my clicking. I try not to go full auto unless I'm panicking or in very close quarters with something.

The M4, while I was playing a bit as the Commando with it, was either full auto or semi auto (1 shot per click vs fire until you let go).

This is a good update and all but seriously TripWire, 2 M4's ?
I am seriously dissapointed. You could have AT LEAST used a different AR family rifle to at least have some more significant visual difference.

Most of the new weapon additions give KF a more American feel, thing I hate with all the cells in my body, especialy in KF, wich stands out for taking place in Britain and with everything that implies.
I just hope you made the M4's weaker in damage than the L22A1 because not doing so is a severe lack of balance with it's high rof.

This is actually the first time I don't like an update to KF. I'm still gonna buy the Character DLC and unlock all the achivements and recommend the game to my friends who don't own KF as of yet but I hope you get yourselves back into the right track.
This may not be pleasant to say (you can bet it's eating me up inside a bit) but I hope TWI doesn't take a nose dive after RO2's release because you are the only developers as of yet I still trust and am willing to support without stop.

Get a grip. Sure, you have a perfect right to dislike a particular weapon, but consider: I think there are roughly a dozen RAF bases in various locations around Great Britain that have a U.S. military presence, so I don't think having a M16/M4-variant in the game is in any way less likely than, say, the AK. I suspect that if we collected every AR15/M16-variant and AK-variant currently in Great Britain, we'd have a far larger pile of the former, than the latter. (I'd like to point out that, having done that, we'd give them all back, of course.)

The damage dealt within KF by the L22A1 (Bullpup) is already grossly underpowered for the round this weapon actually fires IRL. At this point, I accept that particular reality just "is what it is." What I'm hoping is that the new rifles that use the same 5.56x45mm ammunition have the sort of punch they should. Even if that isn't the case, I'm very pleased with everything this newest update appears to contain. I mean, really, what's not to like?
