Australian Players/Servers

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are many Australian players getting this game and who's planning on running local servers? I'm hoping there will be at least a few active servers! I'll be glad to be getting back into RO as I haven't played since it was a mod for Unreal Tournament!

I know alot of gamers who do not currently play RO:O, who have preordered RO2. I think about 10 guys from my old BF/COD clan have it pre ordered, and none of those currently play RO:O. I'm sure there will be at least a few servers worth of people playing.

I moved to Melbourne from Canada and noticed there aren't many servers with good pings for RO:Ost, and I hope the variety will be good for RO2 for people in this neck of the woods.

The only server for Ost that has a good ping is that damn Danzig 24/7 server, and I got sick of that map back in the Mod days..... everything else is around 300 ping or higher, which isn't fun at all.

I've got RO2 pre-ordered so I'll at least be looking for Aussie servers too..... worst case, I'll host my own matches on my computer and possibly leave it running through the night when I'm done so others can continue to play.

There will be a few, tripwire should at least get 1 to 5 ranked servers down under. But tho i have endured years of pain on multiplayer games running p2p and no play with people close option. Tho i have play one game with servers that werent aus base but little lag was MAG for ps3. Who knows tripwire might have some good netcode

there you go 500+ people thats going to get RO2. There will be around 2-5 thousand i say possibly more.

Talking for a few guys involved in the RO/DH community from ANZAC nations, there will be some good RO2 servers running (i.e good admining)

I discovered the original too late but have pre-ordered RO2 as will most of my gaming buddies. I think there would be a few servers around and plenty of people to play with.

It would be disappointing to see only relaxed server. Would be great to see some serious one I'm sure there will plenty of servers to choose from. Honestly even when I choose I high ping game, like 300 ping from America I don't experience lag.

Anyone know of any realism groups here in Australia for RO2??

Game Arena probably will. I know every Friday night a 50 player Australian server fills up in RO, so there's still a community here.

If I host a game, it'll be on the realism setting.... ie: Old Skool.

Good to know about the Steam group, will check it out. Seems like there's a lot more of a community since I first played RO. There wasn't many Australian/NZ servers around for the mod version, which is why I was wondering for those who had experience playing Ostfront. Thanks guys
