I've notified the guy that does our Linux ports, and he should be looking into this issue. If you can, me might ask you to try something things to help figure out what the issue is. His nickname is Icculus so if he contacts you you will know who he is.

What processor is in this machine? I think we rebuilt the physics code with SSE2 support, which wasn't in the previous version.

Thanks.

It may be a problem, because the server has 2 x pentium III s 1400Mhz 133fsb 512 cash. It supports only the SSE technology, not the SSE2.
Do you know any settings to switch off the SSE2 support of the RO server?

Anyway the detailed system info:

Can those having this problem please try this build?

http://treefort.icculus.org/tripwire/ro-linux-09012007.zip

Unzip and replace redorchestra/system/ucc-bin-real with the one in that zipfile.

Please back up your original ucc-bin-real ... this file has not been extensively tested!

If this fixes the issue, we'll push an official Linux server update out through Steam.

--ryan.

Thanks a lot!

It seems to be good. The server have started. :)
