I really hope they'll be in this game when it finally comes out in several years, South Vietnam is so underrepresented.

Squad is modern warfare only which I personally find boring.
I really want to be hyped about RS2 but it's really difficult since we know literally nothing, not even a rough release date.
Last time I was hyped for a game that was announced years before release I pretty much lost interest by the time rolled around.

Maybe it's not so bad to forget about it while it's in development. We have no idea how far along they are, it could be a while before we see this game. Just check on the site every once in a while like you're doing so you don't miss anything and just have fun in the meantime. Also, if you lose interest by the time the game comes around, just watch some of your favorite 'Nam movies and re-hype yourself
If squad gets a WW2 or Korean war mod for it, I'd be hyped.
Perhaps RO2 modders should join forces.
Honestly that's probably the best idea here.
Or I could do something in the meantime, like make a Vietnam mod for RS1. I already have a Russians vs Americans mod working, it'll be easy to just swap out the russian player models for some placeholder NVA.
Good idea man. I've been trying to find another Vietnam game to play but there's not a lot of options. BC2 Vietnam is pretty dead most of the time.
I'd actually prefer if the ARVN were given WW2 American weapons as opposed to just giving them M16's. There should be a difference in how the two teams feel aside from just a skin change.
Not necessarily. There was literally no difference between the SNLF and IJA, same with USMC and Marauders.

Squad can have addons like PR does. Or modes. PR has Vietnam, Normandy, Falkland islnads. Also, IC:V is still in development. We will see. Nice and promising games have been coming.

You've mentioned Squad game in this thread. There are also ARVN? To show that Squad could have not only "boring modern warfare", I tried to provide an example of possible addons like it was made for its ancestor - Project Reality. But Squad, in my opinion, has strange firing system. RO2 and ArmA2/3 are much better at this.
