Artillery is really good and feared in RO2 but i think it would be MUCH MUCH better if it had a lot more flame flash and light when it exploded. Right now there is not much at all to an artillery explosion. The area it lands in should also have more smoke around for a brief time after an artillery attack.

More than fire actually I'd like too see dust coming up from the ground as consequence for the shot.

Real artillery generally has very little flame due to the fact that they buried themselves in the ground before firing. If it was airburst (as the mortars actually are in Ro2! :D;)) they should have NO dirt at all (obviously).

I think that the current is fine, there should be no fire if all is working as planned BUT there should be longer lasting dust etc. The same goes for bullet impacts which fade away unnaturally quickly. Dust would be much better, ala FEAR (1).
