I use a 510 and when playing RO I use the lowest DPI setting; this way small movements arent magnified on screen.. then I employ one of those oversized mouse pads to allow for extra arm movement.

It doesn't matter what position the crew is in. The hatch has a tendency to be more easily penetrated. Ie. a "weak point".
Arg, NO. Then people end up powergaming instead of just playing. We already have hordes of people chasing around the German MGs just to get that free 5 point. God help us if those points actually meant something, can you imagine?
Russian tanks are all over modeled, German tanks are all under modeled. Despite 100 threads on the subject TW has yet to acknowledge this problem.
If you want a realistic experience play on the servers running the Armored Beasts mod. Armor/penetration values are realistic and the turret/hull have separate hit boxes. So if someone does angle their tank you can still send a round through their turret. But that is only necessary when going up against an IS-2 in a PzIV. T34's are no longer invincible when angled in the mod.
On stock servers aiming for the top of the drivers hatch is the only way to effectively knock out a russian tank like the T34 when using a PzIV.

People have been banned from ROL for hacking. They do exist, but so far as I have seen the only hacks are wall, aimbot/scanbot, infinite stamina, and intentional no recoil.
There is the infamous [-I-]Emily 5sec Tiger reload hack, but that was ultimately proven to be untrue.
The moral of the story is: Learn to angle your tank and where to shoot.

From where I play I get a min ping of 230mS, and this is a big handicap.
It doesn't work in close combat where I throw out a 'blanket' of bullets, only to get nailed, by this seemingly cyborg a few feet away. Although I've done a few hip shots at 50m+ and nailed some dudes.. I'm more suprised.
Generally I'm limited to long range shooting, sniping or rifle, which works best when the others stand still for more than 0.5 secs

Maybe half of my kills are hipshots when using smg's. I usually aim for a certain part of the screen while moving forward and bingo. Its not that hard but I proably learned it by playing RO on a regular basis the last few years. With bolts I would say that a third is hipshots, a third sniping and a third grenades though I usually stack up by using grenades only. There are a lot of good players out on the servers and I dont think there are many haxers if any. What I find most annoying though is not the occasionel sniper but more like times when hiding behind a wall or just entering an empty room and then a hand grenade bounces over the top or through the window and boom. How did he see me? Maybe there is a grenade hax out there?

I never ran into anyone cheating. This has been the best game for teamwork and good player base.
most cheats are not really noticeable by the rest of the players, what most of them do, is wallhacking, highlighting players or deactivating the recoil. you will never see speedy, immortal and invisible people with +1000 damage guns
I would say 0.1% of peeps cheat in RO. Pretty good going I'd say!
As far as tanks go, there is no need to cheat! Just jump into a t-34 or JS and you're good to go!
Where do you get that number from? Made it up?
I've never come across anyone cheating in RO in the last couple years. Certainly not enough to give that accurate of a percent.
As some have said, if someone is crying cheat, you can pretty much be correct to assume they just got outplayed by someone better or have suffered from latency.

yes, probably the number is made up, is the same number people always use to indicate that its a small minority, (thing that I really hate)
you can't be sure if you have encountered cheaters or not, maybe you have and you kicked their asses anyway because even if thay saw you throu the wall, you kicked his n00b cheat *** anyway without even noticing
yes, when someone cries cheat is probable because he is outplayed, as cheats in this game does not have as much impact as in other games, they only work to raise the posibilities of the mediocre players, usually good players are being accused of cheating more often than real cheaters, I tend to take those acusations as compliments
Actually what I was referring to in that thread caydn is the old bug where you could do a melee attack as you started sprinting and end up with your gun shouldered and able to fire while you kept sprinting. It's been corrected since then in an update.
There still is technically an exploit related to hipshooting but it's not as bad as what I was talking about there and in fact is quite difficult to perfrom and of limited use.
FYI, just because Chicken and I are in the same clan it doesn't mean he automatically agrees with me on what is and isn't an exploit.

In regards to this thread, I can't ever say I have seen someone who I think is cheating in RO. These days I think that the cheat accusations are more from the fact that a lot of the people still playing the game have been around a very long time and are very good at it. So there's a big bs factor.

There are a few guys I am suspicious of. There's a guy named Gustav floating around that basically ends games when he gets a hold of the MG42/MG34.
if u play IC, theres this guy that can get 80% of his teams kills with an mg from miles away .. snipers can barly see his dot on the horizon and suddenly bam bam bam 5 kills , , THD i think his name is
