I know that I have stated this in an older post from a few months back but as the development is starting to pickup, I would like to reiterate this. As we all know, the NVA were regulars from the Northern regions of Vietnam. The VC were guerrilla fighters from the South. I'm not sure if the dev team is aware of this but Vietnam has a wide variety of dialects from North, Central, to South. The North and South have different accents (Tieng Bac and Tieng Nam respectively). So maybe would it be possible to have the Vietnamese voice actors speak in the correct dialects (Southern accent for VC, Northern for NVA)? I think it'd be great to maintain accuracy and authenticity.

In the past 50 years most accents and dialects have changed drastically for pretty much all languages.

Languages never stop changing.

Black Ops had abysmal Vietnamese. I actually thought it was hilarious. I don't even think they actually hired Vietnamese to voice them, probably Chinese.

Well there are some significant Vietnamese communities in the US, especially on the west coast. I'm sure there would be some willing to voice

No I mean you'd actually find real voice actors from those countries. Not randoms off the street.

I dont care about dialects, but I do care about stupid system in RO2, when your chatacter randomly started talking or whining loudly revealing your position to the enemy. Please get rid of this annoying thing in Rs2.

As someone who sneaks around a lot I don't have this issue. I don't know how voices work but it seems your character doesn't talk about random things when there are no team mates around. Not even when getting shot at. Only when actually shot.

Dozens of times during CW I had this issue. MG shooting somewhere on the street or random arty makes character talking. I dont like this and want to be removed. If someone loves it for deeper immersion it could be an option on client side like the one with native voices.

Random arty doesn't make your character speak. Only real arty does. You are hardly sneaking if you are standing in the middle of an artillery strike and are liable to die by explosion anyway.

Also you only speak when shot at. Not when a gun goes off near you. Generally you only get shot at when they know you are there.

So yeah you weren't sneaking in either case lol. As he wouldn't have said anything.

You know you are being stealthy when you got shot by your own team from a distance.

Then again the other day I walked into a room full of enemies and used the radio in that room to call artillery. Nobody batted an eyelid. So I'm not entirely convinced that voices give you away. I only died as someone else walked into the room and noticed me. Shot him and all hell broke loose.

Were they all level ten honor?

You said exactly what I was about to say. That was annoying as hell. And also unrealistic.

As much as I am for Authenticity. I really hate posts regarding nit picking, truth be told the people who will understand the dialects would account to less than 1% of the players who play this game. We should let the devs invest more time into more important things that make the game more enjoyable.

Thats like you know, talking on Belorussian or Ukranian language, I'm Russian and can tell the difference, but english speaking or other foreign nationalities will not. I dont want to get infraction, but please think one more time about what is more important to the Devs. Yes, currently its dialects, maybe you wont tell the difference but other Asian nationalities will know there is some sort of hackwork during voice acting.
So its more important than you think.
