Don't laugh, but I think an American Revolutionary War game could be really cool on the "RO engine".
Slower more realistic movement, solid stamina system, iron sights (although most weapons didn't actually have sights), proper damaging and ballistics. Reasonable melee combat (RO:O's is MUCH better than BG 1/2's).
Artillery barrages might need a bit of rethinking haha, since indirect fire wasn't really used until the Crimean War.
Instead of having 3 kinds of Mosin Nagants you could have 3 or 4 kinds of Brown Bess's lol. Long Land Pattern, Short Land Pattern, New Land Pattern Musket, Sea Service Musket etc. And just think, no more grenade spam!
Sabres and flintlocks would kick major ass in RO:O and UT2.5.
