On normal or above difficulty?

It seems that wave 1 is all but impossible you have to wait around for a LAR to spawn, but after wave 1 its extremely fun if your team works together.

M32s, AXE's and crossbows are king but I'm sure theres tons of weapons that I haven't thought of being good in the scenario.

I'm kind of new but I don't really see many people playing the official mutators... I do wish there was a way to play against all fleshpounds but with perks enabled, even if it didn't allow you to level them up.

Oh, also here's a demo of me beating wave 1 on defence with poundomonium mutator, normal difficulty.

One FP pinned me against a wall and I blasted my way free with dual deagles with about 5 HP remaining XD

With some friends on hell on earth as level 6 sharpshooters. The autobow is really good for obliterating fps. We also had weapon stay mutator, so we didn't run out of ammo.

I see, the problem was playing on MountainPass. Can't break line of sight.
On a more enclosed map, it would just just be a matter of knowing how to kite INCREDIBLY well.

I've done it on Normal with friends.
Wave 1, sharp.
Wave 2-10, zerk/medic.

Pick a map like Westlondon.

Pat wave, we all went sharp + M99 Quick win there.

Downside is that you need to get close to take them.

While that is more efficient, it's also far more risky. When there are multiple fleshpounds in close proximity (and they almost always are), they move and turn each other around during rage animations. Xbow with its penetration will get the job done in that conditions, other guns won't.

When we played poundamonium with friends, we got best results when there was only 1-2 players with M14+piston, and 4-5 xbows.

Also, carrying dual HCs along with xbows is always a good choice.

I managed it on 1man hard on Hell as a lvl6 support with HC-, MKII-, and .44-Dualies (yeah, i just LOVE stupid loadouts ) up till the end of wave 8. I just wish that i'd have noticed that FP BEFOR his 15sec ragetimer went off
