Anybody ever heard of the AK-12 elite reload technique?

The medic was fun to play in KF1 but its plain boring for me in KF2, imo. The weapons are boring. Its shotgun is BADASS though. (and the SMG sounds great in slow mo)

I just wish you can free fire darts and heal without locking on

Yeah I kinda miss KF1's medic SMGs. The MP5 was a real gungasm to shoot.

Found a video on it here: LiveLeak.com - How To: Combat Speed Reload the AK (3 Methods)
But it does not state what the name of the reload.
It is basically a normal AK reload, except that you drop the mag instead of putting it back in a pounch, thus saving time.

I honestly doubt that it's actually faster than the "mag slap" reload as it is depicted in this game, if the "mag slap" reload is done properly, though.

Generally it is faster to just drop the mag on the ground and take a fresh one, but you take the chance of not seeing that mag until the end of the fight.
But yeah it looks like an alternative to the first technique shown, except that he's vigorously slapping the mag catch with his thumb instead.

on a side note, I think that KF2 if pretty much the first FPS where the mags are not dropped on the ground during a tactical reload (reload when mag is partially depleted), but instead they appear to be put back on the rig. Nice job TWI ;)

All rifle instructors have their own way to do. It never means it is how it SHOULD be done, but in fact always how it CAN be done.

Like Ryno5660 said so well, when you've reached a certain level of mastery with a weapon platform, like any art you'll start to experiment and do it your way.

That just means there are different levels of proficiency in AK reloading from "rifle instructors."(evidence linked below)

Whether it CAN be done does not affect whether it SHOULD be done.

Actually watch the video to find out why.

Yeah I've seen the video several times now. Most techniques are classic, My instructor showed me some. I'm an adept of the ''mag against mag'' ejection, then a lower hand racking, but it involves a certain amount of dexterity that you may lose in combat under stress when adrenaline is rushing, so I thought that the ''thumb slapping'' technique was a good thing to try. Especially on my VZ-58, where the mag catch is a bit different to operate than a true AK.
I'm doing dry-fire experimentations with this technique and it feels good so far. I just wish I could know who it belongs to.

Chances are you won't find out, unfortunately. Unless you were willing to find out who TWI hired and inquire yourself, that is.
