Didn't know about it being another word for just a camcorder.
Since it probably will not be shaky and at least 720p, why should we care what camera it was taken with?

It's not so much with what it was recorded, but how.

Pointing a camera (even a really good one) at a TV screen is not going to give good results, a TV just isen't camera freindly, and the recording will look overly bright, slightly blurry, the colours will look faded, there will usually be flickering in the picture.. yeah, it just doesen't look anywhere near as good as when the human eye sees it on a TV screen.

And this is why HoS has a reputation for having bad graphics, people see thease "shakycam" videos, and apparently aren't smart enough to figure out that the video they are seeing is not reprisentative of how it would look on their PC monitor. And then you get the comments like "the graphics look like a game from 1999", "the graphics look really bad lol" and so on, even though HoS has nice graphics, and even has textures that are probably more detailed than the games it's competing with this year (don't think many of them will have 2048x2048 pixel textures like HoS does).


Ergo, what we'd all like to see now is videos that are recorded by plugging the camera into the AV/out or similar connection, so it records exactly what the game looks like, instead of the blurry, washed out, colourless and hi-bright picture you get when it's just a camcorder pointed at a TV screen.

Of course you are right about that, but it's a game convention, not a gameplay trailer. When Tripwire releases stuff (direct or indirect) then yes I fully agree.

I'm hoping they have cheated, cooking show style, and prepared something earlier, something they have on a few Disc's they can hand out to the media and say "oh hai! we gots new trailer, you should show that on your website and stuff!" ;)

Or you know, however that sort of thing is usually done..
