hi guys i am wanting to see how this game looks good on a modified config which makes it look great, does anyone have a modified ROEngine.ini which shows the true beauty of red orchestra 2 and removes the texture streaming and draw distance as well.

Specs

i5 3570k (Overclocked 4GHz)
8gb Corsair Veng Ram
Asus GTX 680 Direct CU II TOP

ROEngine.ini:

[TextureStreaming]
PoolSize=768
[SystemSettings]
OnlyStreamInTextures=True

Ups your texturecache size and forces the textures to stay there once loaded, lessening the visible streaming.
Use the time before the round starts to cycle trough the viewpoints in the map, preloading a lot of the textures before the battle begins.

I turn off AA, MotionBlur, and DoF and I use SweetFX as well. It runs great, looks clear and focused and a tad more vibrant too. I suggest that majority of people should do this, it makes it easier to see who is who and makes the maps look even more gorgeous :p

Specs

-GTX 460
-i5 3570k (same as yours, even overclocked the same too!)
-8GB Ram

i thought i would be at risk of getting banned for using SweetFX.

I posted a way to increase texture size, search I cant be arsed finding it ;)
yeah it's right here

i think this was it, i was getting problems with it like the guns i was holding looked like the textures was not loaded correctly and textures was streaming still.

The use of NVIDIA Inspector is obsolete. As the driver does support RO2 natively for quite some time now you can and should change the AA override directly in the control panel.
Too bad that the AA override introduces those ugly white outlines everywhere (see pic http://i.imgur.com/KjY3w.jpg). That's mainly why I don't use it. SMAA is not as good, but at least no artifacts.

Then you would be the first person ever. You should tell Tripwire how you did it because that is one of the main reasons why they didn't put MSAA into the game in the first place. ;)

if i remem correct this was one of my videos that i was using MSAA

EDIT:
i have just taken pictures

this is a pic of ro2 with sweetfx and MSAA enabled in nvidia inspector

I think I know now why it works on your side. Additionally to the AA override you have MLAA or FXAA activated in game also, right?

ok i've just noticed that and i went back onto settings ingame and enabled MLAA Ultra and this is what i get

EDIT: these pics are taking with sweetfx on aswell

also accept the friends request on steam so i can talk to you on there which is alot faster and easier than keep posting on here (not complaining about all the post count i'm getting)

I'm currently at work, so no Steam sorry, but I'll add you later, promised. :)
Just one last question: can you post a screenshot with AA ingame completely off, SweetFX off and just MSAA/CSAA via override? Also, does it make a difference, if you use "Override application setting" instead of "Enhance application setting"?

if i use override then i cant see the weapons menu, it is better to use enhance for red orchestra 2 and it's the same if i use override (for when i'm alive but while i'm dead i cant see weapons menu)

Hello. a little offtopic, but is there a way to tweak this ****? Like, to make them stay forever, or at least do not appear and disappear instantly.
Red Orchestra 2 popping up/disappearing textures - YouTube

I already tried this suggestion, but it did not help.

ROEngine.ini:

[TextureStreaming]
PoolSize=768
[SystemSettings]
OnlyStreamInTextures=True

its very annoying especially when tree pops up in your line of sight on fallenheroes, for instance, if you did not zoom when aiming. Plus aestetically it looks like ****.

:)

I've followed this thread with a great deal of interest. I've used Nvidia inspector with some success. I've also tried some of the recommended .ini settings. It all looked pretty satisfying. What I've learned though, is that once I managed to put in place a sufficient level of brute force hardware, this level of micromanagement became unneccessary. Not that it isnt worthwhile. This knowledge sharing is a godsend to many with mid-level cards. The balance tipped for me when I coupled a liquid cooled OCed multicore with SLI. That broke down all the barriers. Now I just set the drivers up for multi-GPU and push in game graphics and AA to the wall. The architecture does the rest. I've stared and compared all the jpg examples shown. I think I'm there. I don't mean to sound like an elitist puke. I remember the days when this level of hardware was a pipe dream. But it was worth striving for.
