I prefer FPS, arcade racing and RTS is find too. The game can be older as long as the graphics aren't horribly outdated (I actually think the Doom 3 engine doesn't look that bad) also I don't like playing a game that already has a sequel.

Do you like the ARMA series?

They are military sims so they are meant to be hard. On to of that they have loads of mods, Missions, etc.

My favorite being Invasion 44

I love this Game

Yea might try that out. I guess they aren't that expensive anymore. Was also thinking about Dawn of War II and Starcraft II but it seems SCII never dropped in price.

This, though i can only vouch for dark souls, but I've heard good things about demon's souls. Dark souls is an excellent game, both challenging and atmospheric, with hundreds of hours of gameplay. Sometimes it will leave you bashing your head against a wall with frustration at the difficulty, but once you complete that section, will feel a real sense of accomplishment.

Im not sure of the European cost, but its a decent investment regardless.

Also, skyrim or civ 4 if you dont already have it

Project Reality for BF2. Tons of different maps, factions, weapons, and most importantly; the teamwork.

Get IL-2 1946 if you don't already. Still plenty of people play it. (probably 500 or so at peak hours on weekends... 250-350 during the week)

Which is also kind of a problem. If you start today, you'll mostly play against veterans with almost 10 years of experience. So there's a good chance you'll get pwned. And bad, very very bad. :D

Bought Rage, it was 30 euros in the shop. I also saw Dawn of War II for 7 euros without the expansions. 30 Euros is still a bit alot and I was thinking about checking reviews of Rage at home first but I figured if I'm going to nitpick the whole time I will never buy a game. Now that I'm home and I'm reading reviews while installing in I have some concerns though.

Well the game had graphic issues at launch but I think that now it's pretty good. Also if you have BF2, just check my thread below for some WW2 game ;)
