Self-explanatory title, I'm looking for a game to play. Bit bored of minecraft atm. Also 50 euros is too expensive for a game. I've been thinking about buying Saints row the third but I'll wait for a price drop. Space marine looks nice but the singleplayer is short and I'm not sure if I like the multiplayer.
I want good old gameplay, no games like batman that gives you wallhacks, enemy vision, makes you invincible, etc. I want my game to be challanging but fun. Any ideas?

I suggest Terraria or Dungeon Defenders with friends. These games are cheap and I spent many many hours playing them and looking forward for more.

Both games get free upgrades and content.

ps. Terraria at the moment is one of the most popular games on Steam, ~60.000 users.

Terraria is similar to Minecraft, I doubt it will keep me interested long enough and I read Dungeon Defenders is a grind fest but fun to play with friends you trust. Whats this thing they call "friends"?

What genre? What kind of "challenge" do you want?

If you're looking for a challenge without the flashy gimmicks, you can pick up a decent flight sim. Or download Rise of Flight (it is free with two planes).

Can't think of much shooter wise...

Flight sims are ok I guess, if I'm going to get a flight sim I might as well buy one with decent graphics, know any? I'm open for everything as long as its not a mini game type of thing.
Last time I got bored I bought Metro 2033 and portal 2, especially liked Metro 2033.

And no, I don't have a console, pc gaming all the way.

Ok, I can do better than my last post...
If you twisted my arm and insisted that I buy a game right this minute, I would get that Assassin's Creed Revelation's, nope too expensive.

Dead Island ?
3 people have tried to get me to buy it, I resist.

Do you have a decent Joystick and like helicopters ??
ToH.

I really enjoyed Rage :).

EDIT: Brink I liked and played a good while.

I'm waiting for Carrier Command.

Not an easy question to answer.

No game is worth 50 euros. I might buy Skyrim for 40 or 35 though because it offers alot of gametime. LA noire is probably finished after 20 hours.

the driving in la noire is annoying, there are cars to collect, of which I have a minimal amount because driving is painfull.

The game also has a bit of an identity crisis. On one hand its a puzzler where you have to fit the peices together and solve the crime, then for the ****s it throws in random crimes that you can respond to where the only thing you can do is just kill all the baddies. Then the driving, which is almost impossible if attempted sanley ( cue, just drive like its gta 4 ). They should have ripped mafia 1 driving and tried to make the game more immersive. The cases are very good though and what the games does have that is good is actually quite good.

I'd say battlefield bad company 2, loads of fun with friends, lots of teamwork, solid gameplay. I have 200+ hours on steam :IS2:

Neogaf says LA Noire is close to Dragon Age 2 for the "worst game of the year" title. I can't give my opinion cause I have not played it, but I would be cautious.

Just get Skyrim. I've played for 100h and I feel I have not seen half of it yet.

Rise of Flight. New and 100% free, as long as you are ok with two planes. Additional planes cost, but the two that come with the free version are sufficient to try out the game.

Graphics are great, but the game is very demanding if everything is maxed out. You'll need something significantly faster than a AMD 965, GTX 560ti 2GB and 8GB of RAM. But even at medium settings it looks great.

Noir is definitely a game you rent out and then forget. Face animations are so-so, looking good one moment and plunging into the uncanny valley the next. Gameplay is walk around and pick up stuff till your controller stops vibrating. Then you piece together information in an unintuitive way with counter-intuitive solutions. Don

Terraria isn't similar to Minecraft. It's more adventure game with bosses, caves and undergrounds to conquer, not to dig. I found it more fun to play with friends, than build stuff in Minecraft.
