Any chance of getting details on the SP campaign anytime soon?

I think they're going to surprise you/us.

I'm of the opinion that a large part of the development process time of RO:HoS has been mastering/engineering a suitable SP mode. But we'll soon see.

I've never finished the SP of any FPS shooter with MP online capablilities as SP doesn't really do anything for me. No matter how good the programming, AI is still Artificial Intelligence. After a little while, SP becomes predictable and you just grind until you get it right.

That said, crafting a quality SP experience is an art form all by itself and requires true skill and an eye for narrative.

I have always loved the SP aspects of games. That said, I have always played RO in a purely MP context, so in this particular case, I'm not too concerned about the SP.

But SP is always what sold me on the original CoD titles -- the MP was icing on the cake.

Wouldn't be hilarious, though, if the devs came out and shocked us with an amazing SP campaign? They haven't really said anything at all about the SP part of the game, and this game will have been development for 4 years as of this coming spring. That's a long time, even for a small studio.
It's not impossible, they could reveal it's something huge and leave us all gob-smacked (i certainly would be), but i have my doubts, i don't think RO2 has been in full scale development for nearly that long at all, there was all the free content packs for RO, KF and all it's updates, learning a new engine, making engine updates apparently also, so yeah, it seems unlikely they've had that kind of time with RO2.

Yeah they have.

"Stalingrad Campaign: The Stalingrad campaign will feature the multiplayer maps used in a campaign layout recreating the battle for Stalingrad from both the German and Russian sides."

There are games where same maps are used in both sp and mp, like Raven Shield. We know that the maps they have are very flexible in terms of gameplay(maps scale, and objectives change based on gametype) so doing sp around them is possible, although we know it won't be an "epic" experience like COD sp with lots of cool scripted things happening.

I think they are aiming for something similar to Raven Shield where you can have fun with your friends in co-op mode doing different game modes like terrorist hunt.

I think I remember TWI saying something along the lines of the sp being more than botmatches, but less than what we have in MoH or CoD.

Im hoping SP will be mainly a chance for new players to get used to the style of play and classes.
At the moment new players have no means to practice, so jumping onto a MP server where most of the players have had 100s if not 1000s of hours practice puts them off.

I'm just hoping the bots arent pants ,as in the videos they seem to be milling around like headless chickens.

As for it being a proper campaign, I doubt it will be more than the maps being put into some sort of order to play though and a big woot at the end when you finish it.
