I was wondering the correct way to use a Anti Tank Rifle. I became confused after sneaking up behind a Tiger tank and putting bout 10 rounds into its rear before it took its time to turn around and obliterate me. I Figured puttting that many rounds into its Rear gas tanks should stop it still but nothin happen. Im i spose to shoot at the positions of the crew in the vehical or was this some wierd glitch.???

Make sure there is practicly no angle when firing on that tiger, and that your rather close, close enough that he can back up over you.

It's also the fact that you're shooting a Tiger with a 14.7mm RIFLE round. :p

Realistically, the PTRD shouldn't be able to penetrate any of German tanks in the game, let alone a Tiger.

For the most part, you should only try and take on PIII's and PIV's, shooting for their vital areas at 90 degree angles.

Exactly! Even against the Panzer III's sides which are the weaker part of the tank the PTRD would have to get close in order to secure an actual pentration! Remember the PTRD could penetrate 35mm at 0 degrees at 100 meters where as the Panzer III's sides are 30mm and its rear is 50mm. Technically no German tanks currently in RO should be penetrable from the front with the PTRD. However in the game you can secure kills usually in 1 or 2 shots against all vehicles there are a great amount of videos and threads about this the first one has video tutorials on how to do it:

On the very few occasions it was used by me I would always aim for the tracks on tanks to at least disable the movement of the tank otherwise I never ever had a hit.
Panzerfaust is much better try to find one of those if you really insist on blowing tanks up on foot.

It did seem as tho the rounds were bouncing off but i figured shooting its fuel tanks so close might gave done some damege but i guess not.

I don't think those are fuel tanks, they're armored skirts protecting the exhaust system from the engine, I think. Either way shooting an external gas tank wouldn't do much beyond putting a hole in it and causing a fuel leak.

Thats right mate.
But i don't even think they are armoured.I think they are just bits of tin to protect the exhausts a bit.If you look at photos from the war they are usualy battered and holed.

The only difficult thing is staying hidden and getting good positioning. It'll take out anything in 2 hits at most, assuming you hit the right spot both times.
