hehe, they actually do.
they are deforesting large area's of the amazone forest not for the wood, but to use the land to grow more sugar cane. with wich they make their biofuel.

Oil is the limting factor and yes a lot of ppl will be more f*cked up in the future but without oil everybody is screwed or would be screwed at the moment.
