Another Heroes of Stalingrad

Well, the title basically says all: another game with pretty much the same name is due to be released soon. Now I hope that doesn't imply bad things for TWI or RO:HoS.

Unfortunately, it seems there is only so much creativity when it comes to titles for WW2 games.

I hope they're not charging any more than $5 for that, apparently this is a big selling point, "The game include animated clouds drifting over the battlefield".

It's a hex-board strategy game, look at the screens they posted.

I don't think RO:HoS will be confused with this.

I don't think that customer confusion would be the main problem but copyright or trademark issues, especially if RO is successful.

Yea I could see that happening, a drawn out legal load of crap. Hopefully not but given the state of the world today, would not be a surprise.

Personally I don't see the creator of that game bringing up a legal battle against Tripwire. At this point in time (I remember when V for Victory was being sold in stores), usually these wargame developers are just trying to cater to a specific crowd and don't concern themselves with the rest of the gaming industry. It's almost like a completely different realm.

I see what has happened here...Tripwire has secretely joined with Lock n' Load to release an undercover beta version of ROHOS titled Heroes of Stalingrad. The hint is in the red border thing going on at the bottom of the box and the red border around the title:

Those are the graphics we should expect in the final version...

All makes sense now

I remember googling "heroes of stalingrad beta" and this would come it. It would always get my hopes up until I clicked on the page.
