It is honestly insulting how broken this game is that we paid for. There are good games and bad games, I've played plenty. However, this game is entirely different. It is broken. Even most boring games at the very least function. This is far from the case in RO2. Punkbuster still kicks my friends and I out of games constantly, the server browser is terrible on a good day, and the "balance" decisions made would be laughable if I hadn't flushed $35 down the toilet. Why bother advertising realism if you're just going to plaque the game with weapons you yourselves know were not there? For your next project I highly recommend keeping your word. Say that rare weapons will be rare? Make them rare. What about "Hero" status? Everyone saw how this game was released and said, "Well at least TW is always working to patch it." Is this what you really want your supporters to have to say Tripwire? I notice how most did not say, "Wow this game is great!" It was more along the lines of, "It should be functional here soon." Two months later, the game is still unplayable not only because of the glitches and poor decisions, but because we were all fed up and left the game. Don't deny it. 9,000 players on day one to 750 at best. The game is dead. Don't blame it on Battlefield 3. Don't blame it on Modern Warfare 3. Don't make excuses like "BF3 has a bunch of glitches too!" Just accept that the game flopped because of poor quality and poor decision making. Better luck next time Tripwire, listen to your fans and don't spit in their faces with a broken product.

P.S. Good luck to the mod community. Mods are the only thing that can save this game now.:IS2:

Yeah this is really getting tiresome. More and more people seem to have this sense of entitlement. It does not look well on them.

Well it's running fine for me on my low spec rig, there seems to be an increase in teamplay and recently I've had some of the best matches I've had in ages in an online game. And for the stuff that still annoys me, TWI say they're working on.

That's my open letter to TWI.

(though still no sign of the winged mounts I asked for)

'RO2 is broken'

Explain. You cannot simply make that statement, you need to back it up with something. I no longer have any performance issues, haven't in quite some time. The game certainly has problems, but it's also definitely not 'broken'.

No one is blaming Battlefield either, they are simply pointing out that a multi million dollar game from a huge developer is a buggy mess. So it's understandable a smaller studios game is also. And considering RO2 is less 'broken' than BF3 I think that's rather impressive.

I can understand the frustration at the state of this game. But for the love of god get a sense of perspective please. And treat the developers as fellow human beings. Treat them as you would if you were speaking face to face. Anonymity is not an excuse to be a ****.

I wonder if twits like this are remotely aware of TWIs reputation. Like with ROOST, we'll be getting FREE content updates. Unlike other companies that charge for DLC.

It's deja vu once again, I recall "OMG The Sky is Falling" threads like this back when ROOST came out 5 yrs ago. Even going back like 8 yrs ago in the mod days.

The game certainly isn't broken. Punkbuster isn't something TWI can fix and the so-called "ballance" issue isn't a TWI issue either. If you're talking about team-ballance, that is set per-server. You can turn it off completly or set it to ballance the teams at any level you want. I see some servers set to ballance teams when they are off by 1 player.. which means it's going to happen a lot. All realism settings are also set at the server level so you could pretty much make this game look like Ostfront if you wanted to. People who don't know how to maintain or configure the server can lead to a bad gaming experience.

Given the bugs, and all games have them, this game is great and it's only going to get better. When you make your WWII FPS game set on the Eastern Front let us all know.

I'd be stupid if I had bought it without knowing it was an unfinished product and would remain so for quite some time...but I knew about it before buying it. Plus I only paid $25.

I've had plenty of fun with it but don't play it anymore due to lack of maps that are worthwhile and there are still lots of nasty bugs.

I don't play ARMA II anymore but that doesn't mean it's not in my top five of all time still. Good memories in both.

I agree completely. These guys at TWI are working hard for our community. Show some respect.
