With the maps that we have currently i find that many maps ending up with one side camping or both sides camping and try to take pot shots at each other. The problem that i believe that we experience is the laser accuracy of many weapons combined with the gibbing we find associated with most weapons. Perhaps a game mechanic that reduces the stopping power of weapons based on the distance from target. I.E:

0-50m : 100% damage
51-100m : 75% damage
100m+ : 50% damage.

Just food for thought, please post your opinions.

Edit: This suggestion is obviously not realistic but is intended for improved gameplay.

Most of the shots fired from a sniper are longer than 200 meters. That means that we will get a sort of Battlefield 2 mode, where you can kill with a sniper by only hitting the enemy's head.

no offense but this is the stupidest idea for this game to date.

I mean your opinion is valid and all that.

But this game strives for realism and slow gameplay.

This would make RO2-BF2, Modern world war tactical arcade shooter oO

The sewers of Leningrad.
Play territory. One sniper per team! No worries!

Except that one sniper, and the other 31 enemies on the battlefield and the at least four idiots on your team who cant disguingush friendly from enemy.

Right, because a bullet designed to be deadly beyond 500 meters should stop being lethal after the first 100.

These are high powered rifles we're dealing with, realistically modeled with real-world data. They aren't about to "balance" them after they put all that effort into getting all the weapons and scenarios in the game as realistic as possible.

Its just fine the way it is - or maybe you start adding modern warfare weapons and we start running around and surviving hits that normally blows you away...

To get it with few words - its meant to be realistic - and i really dont want to know how many people in WW2 died because they couldnt bandage like we do :p

Actually I like "camping" in this sort of games because it's realistic. Real warfare isn't about rushing against each other all the time. I like it when you're defending your position and stick to one place for a while and then make a combined rush to take a point.
