I hope they are slightly more creative with the enemies than in Penumbra, but nevertheless I'm sold.

Very excited about this game, I pre-ordered during the Indie Bundle special as it was on sale. This looks to improve greatly upon the formula of Penumbra, which was a very atmospheric and suspenseful.

I wouldn't even put DS into the good category. It was mediocre and formulaic at best. But at least Amnesia is looking good so far.

I agree, but by today's standards, DS was good. There hasn't been anything else, in my opinion that was even as good as DS. I did like DS, and am looking forward to the second one.

Oh, I know I'm getting this.

I don't see why I've never seen games from Frictional in the shops.

Visually it's no new crysis (which isn't that surprising) and it does look slightly dated, but that's not really a gamebreaker at all. Absolutely sublime if you actually enjoy more mind**** style (aka japanese) atmosphere and horror.

You're actually right about that. I do have to admit I'm somewhat lost with some horror definitions when it comes to certain things and I've only lately started getting into Lovecraft's works.

Check out 'The Outsider' and 'The Mountains of Madness' if you want to know where Frictional got the ideas for their games.

So, did anyone beat the game yet? I stopped shortly before I'd have to enter the wine cellar(I saw a pre-release trailer of wine cellar so I pretty much know what's expecting me there), that was two weeks ago. Didn't play it since then

Yes I've beat the game with all three endings. That wine cellar thing however doesn't really exist in similiar way as it does in the trailer, and even the trailer is sort of misleading. You don't know what you're missing :p
