Today I loaded up Steam to play some RO, and noticed that America's Army 3 was installing a large update.

So I figured I'd try the game another try.

Overall, I like the gameplay. The maps are open ended, and the movement is not that bad. The weapons feel decent as well.

But is it me, or does this game has internet serious lag issues?

Sometimes I put 3 or so rounds into a person at point blank range, and they will not die... yet I will get killed in one shot.

I play on servers with a ping of 130 or less, so there should not be that much of an issue.

I do not experience any internet lag on any other game.

But to me it really does seem like this game is still broken with serious lag issues. Anyone else experiencing issues like this?

Or does it require 6-7 shots to kill someone in this game? :p

all I know is there were awful lag issues when the game first came out. No idea if its improved. A bunch of people got fired right as the game was released, and add to that the team didn't expect the number of players (for a free FPS, lol) that attempted to play, it was just a disaster.

I tried it a few times when It first came out, and it was rubberbanding like crazy. Nvr went back. Looks like it didn't change much.

Been playing some more. It does seem to depend a lot on the server... even if it has a low ping, I still often experience some lag.

Sometimes I am able to kill someone in a few shots, other times I have to dump half my mag into them.

Still some weird issues with first person animations, and occasionally my weapon becomes invisible.

But overall, I am actually enjoying the game. Map sizes are good for 5 or less people.

As I mentioned, there are still some bugs but I think it is playable finally.

Hopefully they continue to add bug fixes. If they do, I can see myself playing it much more in the future.
