I've played as Russian against stacked German teams, and I still find it highly entertaining if the enemies are less experienced than me... My side may lose, but I'll die knowing that I kicked their asses a lot against the odds.
It was even more enjoyable before the bots got the way they are now; I remember being the only player on the Russian side on Apartments, with some 4 to 6 Germans in the other team (it was a server which had Apartments 14/7). Every battle before that I became the Russian TL was a German Victory; Every battle afterwards a Russian one. I just threw smoke, ordered "Follow me", and brought a Red storm of bots with me over the right-side bridge. Same with the other objectives.

But now, leading bots from the front doesn't help anymore, and it isn't much fun anymore too. :(

Agreed it used to be fun... I usually ordered the bots to attack A while I ran to B with my additional capping power. The stacked Axis would focus so much on A due to all the bots, that I usually only had two bots to worry about in B, while picking the humans off towards A.

They'd cap A, I order them to follow me to B, finish capping B before the Germans could do anything, then we'd all rush through the basement of the Propaganda House and start capping that before on single Axis was near the objective.

Capped that in seconds then order one squad to move here to the top floor, then another squad to the bottom floor of the house while I ordered the rest to defend like normal.... as I make my way around to hunt and kill all the human players Trying to cap it back.

I'd just punish them for a good while until the timer was almost out then get them all to follow me to flank the square from left & behind, sweeping in, chewing crap up and taking names.

Having the Follow and Move commands like they used to made the bots better team mates than most players.... As proven by situations like these where if you know how to use them, even most staked enemy teams don't stand a chance.

.... But that was then.... This is now, and the bots are kind of useless. They certainly weren't perfect before, but I could get them to do certain things to shift a battle.

This makes me want to upgrade my pc to run this baby on max settings

Eh, I run the game on high with very few settings on max. The main thing to get it looking like this is sweetfx.

The settings I used for that particular gallery are here: http://pastebin.ca/2430321

(In game I set AA to FXAA-low and AO to on, high quality, which I usually play without. Other than that it was a mix of high and ultra, but it didn't look dramatically different to how I play the game)

Oh, and with those settings, if it looks horrific at first be sure to fiddle with the brightness slider in game. It's designed for a lower brightness than you'd expect, otherwise it bleaches the game too much.

Thank you for config. My game still don't look like in the screenshots, my settings are too low. I use only textures and character detail on max.
