I love the beta and it really looks like the game is going to be great. But I have noticed that RO2 is using a lot of colored labels, unlike RO:OST.

This is very problematic for people like me who have colorblindness, especially red/green. I spoke with another player today who is also colorblind and was having trouble. Is there anyway that an alternative color scheme could be implemented? I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that function in CoD, and it drastically cut down on my accidental team-kills.

Colorblindness is a lot more common that you might initially think, so I think it'd be a great idea to develop an alternative color scheme.

I think that would really be not realistic I mean in the real world you don't get shortcuts like that :p

You got that right. It's kept me out of a few career fields for sure. haha

But in all seriousness, I'm sure it would make the game a lot more accessible and might cut down on mistakes and teamkills.

I hope they add in a color blind mode like BC2.

I'm not color blind but its not fair if you cant enjoy it because the devs decided not implement a simple option

I had a lot of trouble with it at first, especially in apartments because the green uniforms do look brown in that light, but I got used to it.

They also wear different hats, so you can use that to ID

I'm colorblind too. But the issue is not with the uniform or anything. It's with the text. Sometimes I have a hard time knowing if the thing appearing in the kill list is an ally or an axis.

I had most of my trouble on Apartments as well.

Red/green colorblindness is the most common, so maybe Tripwire could create the option to use blues and yellows for teammates? I think it'd make a world of difference, at least for me.

Honestly I'd rather see the uniform stay as they are as many people will switch to Colorblind mod because it makes the game easier. However a colorblind mod for text and map icons would be great

TWI implemented different running animations for each side which really helps when all you can see is the enemie's silhouette. Germans hold their weapon in one hand,Russians hold their weapon with two hands.

If you were colour blind in WW2 you would probably have the same difficulty differentiating Germans from Russians, assuming that's what you're talking about.

Guys he not talking about kills, more so about kill labels, team/squad labels and what not. All of which use Red/Green to differentiate teams or what squad you are in. I can understand how it could be very confusing, it would be nice to have an alternate color scheme for text.

Actually, WW2 soldiers were proven to benefit from the color blindness... camo netting and all other sorts of camo didn't and doesn't work on them. They saw most all the "hidden" items clearly.

Just a point of info. ;)

Its interesting that the service denied me because of my color blind ness considering the fact that camo is much less effective on me. Guess it's not useful anymore. If they hand me a gun and tell me to shoot the people in green, everyone dies.
