Doesn't make a difference to me what the lyrics say, I pay attention to the sounds. And I feel TwI chose pretty well based on that.

To be fair, not all the Christian Metal lyrics in the game are about loving jesus and preaching goody-two-shoes self-righteous themes. Take Living Sacrifice's Death Machine for exemple :

Hallelujah - I've seen the light
Hallelujah - tie that knot extremely tight
Around my neck this rope feels tight
Jerk it hard pull it tight
Around my neck this rope feels right
I'm gonna see the bottom of the sea tonight
Hallelujah - I've seen the light
Hallelujah - I'm gonna be bottom of the sea tonight
It fits well Suicidal difficulty mode, don't you think ? :p

its just kinda funny that these guys are singing to god and salvation, in one of the goriest games of the year, i dont know if its fitting or hypocritical.
You are talking about religion? Do I keep misreading your post somehow? Christianity doesn't suit gore and violence? What? Christianity could be seen as mercilessly bathe-in-blood badass.

Alot of that would actually make some decent Metal lyrics. If non-Christian then just change "The Lord" etc to "I am" etc.

How about original Christian music like 1,500 year old Latin chants and stuff, could be pretty suiting for desperately trying to survive an oncoming horde against a broken squad.

and why tripwire didnt want to add songs like "infectious cadaver" like in Kf1, is it because they dont want to get in trouble with religious peoples? Or some other reasons, im just very curious.
I think that Tripwire chose Christian Metal specifically cause it's a safe choice vis-

I did raise an eyebrow when I saw the music in the game, but some of it is actually pretty banging. Mostly it doesn't concern me though, I prefer to listen to some smooth d'n'b when I play KF2 and when I'm in a metal mood I prefer stuff like Oathbreaker or Elder. :D

The music is AWESOME! Who gives a **** if they mean God or anything? They sing about death, sorrow, suffering, no hope, killing - ITS PERFECT!

I know the light is burning dim and dying in you
I know the pain that lies within
I feel it too

I die along
And swallow darkness
In misery is where I belong

The feel of pain and the taste of dirt.
A dardened sky and the loss of worth.
Lower me down under glorious green.
Eternity waits on a broken machine.
Exit the soul in a vibrant white.
Leaving the shell in the dead of night.
Life is a path, Death a destination.
I've met the end of being, my eyes are open wide.
I feel myself depleting, and watch my body die.

look at this!!!! Its perfect! I mix it with songs like

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKRStdfDEnY

or

www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t9uo_BekgU

and it works pretty well! If I ever go to genocide crusade this is something that I would listen to before or while wreaking havok, srsly..

Well well, lets not get out of hand in here, i made this post because i wanted a discussion on the music choice, but for a while it has become a religious debate, we can all agree that it doesnt lead to anything good right? I am not a religious person, but i respect everyones beliefs, and since ive been told here that TW president its friends with the bands/record label, it makes sense that it was cheaper, besides since it will be released on pS4 it also makes sense the choice of "non controversial" music, i just hope we are given the tools to make our own playlists.

The music should never be a problem these days. You can - turn off the lyrics, turn the music off completely, you can do the same and run your own music in YT playlist, or Spotify or Winamp or whatever you are using to play music.

Over here, no not there, here.
I'm actually surprised this has stayed as civil as it is. Keep up the good-ish work I guess.
Also
The whole Christian audio thing fits in well with the made up fantasy creatures theme.

I won't be playing this version.
Dude you can turn the music off. I personally turn off the music in most games because I just prefer them without music.

Aside from random passive aggressive quips here and there, it's remained scarily civil for the most part. Actually quite nice to see. And very weird.

I think the music really adds to this game, the only thing really really bothering me, is the scrakes spawn sound actually stopping the music.

I thought I was the only one bothered by that. Perhaps someone should make a thread/poll in the suggestions forum? It's also especially annoying as sometimes there's a delay before the spawn scream, so you just get silence for like a second or two.

That kinda bothers me, too, actually. At first I thought it just lowered the volume a bit (which I'm okay with, so music doesn't drown out important audio cues), but the next time it happened the track that had just started ended and it started another track in its place. Lowering volume? A-okay. Killing volume? Bothersome.

Yeah, I tend to avoid metal bands with a "message". I prefer narrative driven music usually inspired by literature, history, or mythology. That's one of the reasons why Iron Maiden is my favorite band of all time.

I understand why most people avoid bands with "message".
Most time I prefer to dance industrial or bands like rammstein that have little bit cryptic song meanings and stories.
Weirdly many bands with message I listen are anti-war and anti-religious at same time.

I took my signature from VNV Nations song "Tomorrow never comes".

Even I don't understand why I like music that I listen.

Unless you told me that the metal was Christian (you did) then I would have never known. It sounds satanic and bloody and horrifying still, so does it really matter?

Yup, same here. I didnt even notice that you can turn "lyrics on."

But in all honesty, I dont care who made the music or if there is lyrics. Sooooo, yeahhhhh.
