Well today my Dad, Brother and I decided to go skiing for a good 6 hours of the day and we had pretty fun, there was some small wipeouts for all of us and a few laughs we shared, just your average ski day huh? Well not when I decided to take a narrow trailer along the very edge of the hill :( I was cruising pretty fast when I went to slide along the edge of the hill when I noticed the slush, I decide to turn away from it but my skis hit an edge causing then to twist and me to tumble down the hill. My ski thankfully come off just about saving my leg, and I got up feeling perfectly fine... well until I took my ski boots off and got home. Thats when I realized that I couldn't walk, because of the fall :( Anyways thats my story. Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?

First I was like "broke his leg while skiing?" but then I was like "ooooh... downhill skiing" ;)
Hope your leg didn't get broken, though if it was you wouldn't have gotten up in the first place, let alone got home.

Cross-country skiing :p
In Finland we call that skiing.

You mean sliding around on flat ground with two boards strapped to your feet? C'mon, that's not skiing, that's propelling oneself fowrward in the most ridiculously looking way possible.

And it brought "nordic walking" to us, which is an atrocity, and even more ridiculous than sliding on boards in winter.

this winter 44 people died on the slopes in Austria.

Way too many idiots on the slopes, who think they can ski :S Quite a number drunk as well. Prices are almost unbearable nowadays. The amount of slopes and the desctruction that goes along with this almost makes me cry every time someone convinces me to go skiing to some winter sports resort.

Backcountry skiing is the way tbh. No 24/7 accoustic pollution by DJ

Wow I never expected such kind responses! I'm probably going to see a doctor and X-Rays on my foot, but right now the only thing I can do is avoid going out as much as possible and sitting down or resting. Hopefully it isn't as bad as I think it is.:)

Sorry for being late to the thread (food poisoning delayed me :()

But get well soon! :D And don't forget that the forum CAN be nice from time to time ;)

Tell that to the person who follows me around the KF forums disliking every single post I make. Anyways, turns out I tore some tendons in my foot and it's hard to walk, it should heal in a week so long as I don't injure it even more.

Well, duh!...;)
Should be warm enough to water ski though, right?

Perhaps the pic isn't working for all?
I'm from Louisiana. We get a snow about once in a blue moon. When someone says ski, the natural assumption is water skiing. Just making light of the dichotomy of cultural differences that can be found on the North American continent. Sorry if that went over everyone's head.
